1-
Clean finishes. Clean
finishes are the rule rather than the exception on Heat, which makes
me
wonder why all my fellow Smarks who claim to hate screwjobs and run-ins
look down their noses at Heat.
2-
Dark matches RULE! The
whole "Holly Family Christmas" had me busting up- it was twice as funny
as any of the 'comic' moments during Raw. Mona was born to be
a
Holly! And Hardcore wishing everyone a merry Christmas was ultra
cool, I actually got a Markish lump in my throat for a second. Let's
also
remember that Heat is where Kaientai finally got Over, and gave
us the catchphrase of 2001: "inDEED!"
3-
Tazz is a God on the stick. If you don't like Tazz's
mike work, there's something seriously wrong with you. His Smarkass
comments totally bust me up. I dare you not to laugh when he says "I
hope
Road Dogg brought a lunch, 'cause this is gonna be an all day Job!"
Tazz
knows how to appeal to Marks and Smarts alike, and it's a shame that
it
took this long for the Fed to realize what a huge talent they were wasting.
4-
It's great seeing the Talent cut loose. Who knew D'Von
was so good on the stick? They never let him talk on Raw or SD. Heat
gives
some of the "quiet" talent a chance to get on the stick and
take the spotlight for a while.
5-
The 'lesser' talent in the WWF is PHENOMENAL.
Why, exactly, has Kaientai been regulated to babysitting
Mideon on Jakked? The whole "martial arts movie" gimmick
is insanely cool. I'd ten times rather watch TAKA and Funaki
than sit through yet ANOTHER four man main event starring the same four
guys. Fortunately, Heat is giving guys like TAKA and Funaki a forum
to
show how good they can be if given a chance.
6-
Michael Cole is a lot less irritating when Tazz is there to remind him
what a loser he is. All
this time, I assumed that the Fed actually thought Michael Cole was
a
good announcer. Now I realize that at least TAZZ knows the truth.
7-
NO VINCE AND/OR STEVE AUSTIN. Sorry folks, I know
this
is blasphemy, but I just can't take another 45 minutes per show of these
two. Vince isn't half as interesting as he thinks he is, and Austin
isn't
fit to carry the JOCK of My Man HHH*. Sorry, just had to
Mark
Out there for a second. Anyway, I find myself looking forwards to Sunday!
Now if only I didn't have to endure the few seconds of MTV that occurs
before and after the show.
