 Let the Revolution Commence!

This was really interesting ... a reader from Madison, WI, passed along word that Hulk Hogan did a phone interview on a radio station there on Tuesday. The hosts were knowledgeable wrestling fans, and mentioned Monday's ratings (which saw the Hogan/Sid match get toasted in the ratings by about 4 points) to Hogan. Hogan responded by claiming it wasn't him who got smoked in the ratings. Instead, Hogan laid the blame solidly on Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn, who occupied part of the final quarter hour. Hogan said that by the time his segment started at 10:54, the "damage was already done." Hogan also said that Douglas and Co. would never get such a primo slot on Nitro again.

Just when you thought Hogan had fulfilled his quota for making jack-ass comments...

The time for simple lambasting has passed. The time for weak ineffective railing from message board forums has finished. It's time to get serious.

We've all seen how the internet can affect WCW/WWF storylines. We've all seen how the internet can turn aimless wrestling fans into a powerful force that cannot be denied.

We did it for Ric Flair.

We did it for Chris Jericho.

Let's do it for Hulk Hogan.

All fans, whether they be WCW/WWF/ECW inclined, can rally behind this plan. Well, aside from the Hogan fans but we need to ostracize them for supporting this bastard anyways.

We've seen the devestating powers of "We Want Flair" chants and we've seen how it's forced Bischoff to let in the man he hated.

It's time to go beyond, ladies and gentlemen.

Hogan will not walk away of his own choice. That won't happen. No matter how much it MUST happen, it won't.

No, he must be forced out. Taken by his ear and shown the door.

And since Eric will never do it, since Turner's far too obsessed with his CNN shite, there's only one group that can. The fans.

We're more powerful than we've ever realized.

And now it's time for ust to start a movement that will truly revolutionize the wrestling world.

It's time for us to tell WCW just what we think of ole' Baldy.

Are we going to let him blame the best talent in his company for his own failures?

Are we going to let him hold the world title once again while real talented workers, men he's held down for years, slave away in the mid-card?

It's time to stop them then.

I sound naieve, yes. I sound markish, yes. I don't care. I think we CAN do it.

Here's how:

  • Every time Hogan shows up, flip the channel. No matter who he's wrestling.


  • Every time Hogan comes out, the live crowd should chant "RETIRE" at the top of their lungs.


  • Every time Hogan fights, the live crowd should begin to chant "HOGAN SUCKS."


  • Take "RETIRE HOGAN" signs to the shows.
If we ALL do this, then it'll be impossible for them to ignore us. Impossible I say.

We did it for Flair.

We did it for Jericho.

Let's do it for Hogan.
