BLAH

THE RAVING MARK #4

For the first time, my column has the same name twice in a row. Amazing!

I still don't get letters...

Lazy bastards.

On with business, I suppose.

  • I called the Mankind win at Summerslam. Its documented. Bow to me, my minions.

  • I am so disappointed with the direction of WCW. I want them to succeed. I want them to put out a good product. I really, really do. However, it still seems like they're purposely pissing their fans off. They know very well that having Sid run in and destroy matches pisses us off. They know that we know that Sid has been jobbing on the house tour. But they still persist. They know we hate Hogan. They know we hate half of what they do. But they still do it. Why? Why won't they listen to the fans? I really don't understand. Its very sad. I just hope Bischoff gets fired soon, and they replace him with someone that has a set of balls to call their own.

  • In what has to be considered big news, it is being reported that Bischoff gave his employees an open door out of the federation last night, and Raven jumped through it, with Kidman later joining him.

Where will Raven end up? My bets are on ECW. Not only has he said publically that he wants to go back, but from what I understand Heyman wants him back. I can't really see Raven in WWF, and honestly, I think going in that direction would be a mistake. He fits the ECW product very well. However, you can never discount the influence of Blue Meanie and Stevie, both friends of his, and both WWF employees.

Kidman is a different story. I can see him going to WWFEland. Terry Taylor seemed to like him, and word has it that Taylor wants to rebuild the lightweight division. I think it would be a good fit. And is it just me, or would Kidman make a good fourth Brood member? He has the look to fit right in with the Hardys.

I think the biggest question is whether or not anyone else will follow. Personally, I hope Vampiro jumps to WWF, and I would no longer have reason to watch WCW.

Actually, the real big question is whether or not we're being worked. For one, if Bischoff had really opened the door, I think the line leading to the door would have been longer. Secondly, Bischoff disdains the internet and loves to work us. Hell, he threw a slight verbal jab at the net Monday. I think the possibility of this being a work is worth taking a look at.

  • You know, even if that sound effect of JR's arm breaking had been synched correctly, it still would have been lame.

  • That was a wicked looking shot that Chyna took with that guitar. Pretty sad when the managers and owner's kids in one federation take better bumps (and have higher workrates) than most of the top stars in the other.

  • Was I the only one that thought that maybe Kanyon was really hurt by that spear? It looked particularly viscious, and he was holding his shoulder, which isn't the typical seel point for that move.

  • Lenny Lane as cruiserweight champ. I'm torn. His current gimmick sucks, and his attempts to be Chris Jericho are failing. But on the other hand, he can work good matches. Up until Sid destroys them, anyway.

  • Why was Charles Robinson holding up signs for Sid? I just see no reason for that. No explanation. Nothing. And why were other referees counting the bogus pinfalls? At least have Sid scare them into doing it, instead of them doing it on their own accord.

Well, that's all for today. Keep those letters coming. Har har.
