ALL IN A DAY'S WORKRATE

Welcome back to "All in a Day's Workrate"! I am your host, Justin and today we'll review WWF Smackdown, TRY to review the chaos and shame known as WCW, and give out a few random thoughts. Enjoy......

WWF Smackdown!
Wow! I must reiterate the fact that as of lsat monday when cake got it's icing that we are in a VERY exciting period of wrestling right now and I am in heaven watching WWF programming lately. Well, in case you weren't paying attention last night, it seems that with the arrival of the WCW4 that all the wrestlers are starting to give it their best again, Bob Holly and Road Dogg gave the most notably improved efforts. The Y2J match was much better than I expected it to be seeing as how his opponent was the 'no-more trying or caring' Gangrel. Somehow they managed to put on a great match though with Y2J obviously getting the win in the end. Another ***+ match was Dean Malenko Vs. The 1-2-3 Kid, this match was great, usually I am one of X-Pac's biggest detractors but he and Malenko put on a HELL of a match, Pac's best since his series with D'Lo a year or so back. The tag match was definitely above an average New Age Outlaws match, and up until the nauseating sight of Eddy G. having his elbow dislocate I was enojoying it, Get Well SOON Eddy!!! Of course there was the 3-way between Rocky, Kurt Angle, and Tazz. That was great and Rock really does take some great bumps no matter how much you dislike him you HAVE to admit that if a guy CAN DO a move Rocky WILL TAKE the move, props. And then......one of my dream matches took place Triple H(who is tied for my fav WWF wrestler along with Jericho) took on Chris Benoit, who, myself included, everyone schills over like no-other, YES!! This match was great from start to finish the only thing that I didn't like was Michael Cole being a doofus of an announcer and needing Jerry Lawler to carry the duties of this match(along with every match with the WCW4), thats ok I had JR calling it in my head anyhow. Why Benoit came out after the champ is beyond me but that's wrestling these days I guess. The WWF did a great job with the ending as both man came out looking superb. Triple H proved that he has no problem selling like hell to the new guy and that gets Bonus points from me for sure. I can't wait for this next Raw is Jeri...I mean Raw is War to see what happens next.

WCW
I really know that I should have more to say about Wheel Chair Wrestling, but....I don't. With the exception of Booker (no T?), Crowbar(!), Shannon Moore, Shane Helms, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Bret Hart, Kidman, and Vampiro(did I forget anyone?) I really don't give a shit, especially considering that most of those guys either are injured or aren't getting a good push(except Kidman who got lazy these days anyhow) I got 2 words for WCW... thanks bunches!
Oh yeah the Hulkster is back, and that REALLY is not going to help ANYTHING!! Well, maybe it'll help Hogan....

Random thoughts

  • It's true, Big show really DOES look like Gomez
  • Is Chyna Jericho's valet?? I'm confused...
  • Rob Van Dam got injured in the middle of a great feud...bad business.
  • Speaking of bad business, XFL??? There goes some of Vince's money because nobody cares about secondary leagues in major sports, it's been proven time and time again, I feel bad because I am one of the few that respect and like good 'ol Vinny Mac....oh well
  • I love Triple H, when HBK left(damn shame)I finally stopped considering him Shawn's bitch.
  • GIVE JERICHO A FEUD!!!!
  • Does anyone else think that a PPV where every match is in a cage would be a new classic (the title "No Way Out" made me think of that)
  • Hogan's back. Why, God....Why????
  • I already stopped watching Thunder a while ago, and I am VERY close to stop watching Nitro
  • SOMEBODY WRITE ME!!! CRITICIZE ME!!! PRAISE ME!! JUST GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK!!!
  • Oh yeah, Mike Awesome is too good, just had to mention that

I usually will do this in the Tuesday column but I am feeling inspired so.... Wrestler of the week: Triple H. Not only has he put on some good all-around wrestling this week, he also is being EXTREMELY classy handling the WCW4. I don't mean on tv, of course. But as far as egos; he has gotten a beat gang beating, put them over in interviews, and REALLY put over Benoit last night. He also is doing all this working while recovering from a hyperextended knee AND directly after a ***** match at the Royal Rumble where he got pretty beat on! The Game is really a great guy in real life from what I have seen and heard and he just continues to impress me as the months go on.

Thats it for the reviews this week, I may do a column comparing rosters to put up tomorrow as well as a dream PPV, if its not up tomorrow it will be early next week. My final note.....PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WRITE ME AND GIVE ME FEEDBACK!!! I would really appreciate it and it'll can only help the columns get better.

    Until we meet again......
