BLAH

WORD FROM THE BUTCHSTER

It's organized chaos out here, MTV's in town for the summer. Traffic around Mission Bay is hectic. But I keep watching, and you know why? 'Cause I never know if I'll see myself.../WALKING!

This is still SLASH IS ROSSER, at least until I sell out to BET. I'd be remiss not to plug www.delphi.com/wehearttrish and www.delphi.com/theoracleswar, 'cause it takes a nation of millions of anal-retentive slayers to hold us back! Yeah! If you're not reading John Petrie, remedy that NOW. And much much love to my favorite historical goombah Eric S for the low-level blowjob push and intelligent, coherent writing.

NEEDLE DROP: The "Stuff" CD was decent. But I wholly advocate one getting off one's rump and buying the "High Fidelity" soundtrack, which kicked my ass the better portion of the last 24 hours and ruled the free world just like the movie.

Why do I bother asking for 7? Ah, like it matters. Maybe I'll get there someday--I mean, some guy invented the remote control because he was thinking "Damnit, I don't want to go ALL THE WAY over to the TV!" Anyway, let me strap on some Fubu and CORE RESPOND DANCE!

Bitchfactor lives!: That Big Star live album you just picked up is a good'un. I think that one is "Columbia," right? That album was a really, really big deal for me when it came out, anyway. Ken Stringfellow is the mack. And that cover of "Slut" is great fun. My enthusiasm for reunions of the iconic sort has somewhat dampened over the years, but that album brings back nothing but nice memories for me. So if you don't like it, there is something wrong with you. I am, of course, serious.

All feelings of affection aside, do you get the feeling that Trish Stratus can't properly "work" any "sticks" at all? I've got a gut feeling she can't, honestly. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.
-->Yeah, I was remiss about the Star album because I got not 10 minutes before I started the Word. It did own, btw, but High Fidelity's got a Benoitian music workrate. And while part #2 may be true, it ruins the fantasy, so a big raspberry to you in kind-hearted jest.

CDJay IS Shawn Colton!: Hey Butch, thought I'd drop a few lines and pad your mailbox. I read your column every week and thoroughly enjoy it. Got a couple of things I would like to respond/share to/with you.

First off: I don't think anyone has forgot about Owen. I certainly have not. When I checked my baseball (fantasy) league home yesterday there was already posts reminding everyone to remember Owen and the Hart family. I think people just try not to say anything, sort of when you are talking to someone who recently lost a loved one. You know you should say something, but what do you say? Or maybe it's just me. Regardless, Owen will never be forgotten. Just missed.

Secondly: Here are my thoughts on LISTO DEL FUEGO.

15) **BRISCO IS HARDCORE**
As long as they have him keep getting his ass beat up I'll be happy. Otherwise put the belt on the shelf with the Women's title.

14) **RAVEN GONE?**
Loved your idea of pairing him with Crash. Would make for some interesting angles and direction. Other superstars could talk smack to Raven and Crash would attack them. Has the possibility to make Crash a ferocious little guy. (like Tazz is supposed to be.)

13) **CRASH IS INSANE**
Yep. Goes with above.

12) **JARRETT WINS THAT MEANINGLESS THING AGAIN**
At this point who really cares. And that goes for Nash winning it again.

11) **FUNK WON'T QUIT**
I think Hyatte (or someone else, can't really remember where I read it. I do know I read it today, though.) put it best when he said "Who would have thought Terry would have outlasted Mick Foley." Maybe not the exact words, but the point is there.

10) **M(ajor Guns)IA**
At this very moment I have access to more porn than I need. Why do I need to watch wrestling to see tits.

09) **WHAT'S NEXT FOR LITA?**
I love the idea of her leaving Essa. She could join the Hardys, not that they need her. Or my personal favorite: Team her with Chyna and have them start taking on tag teams. I bet Chyna and Lita could handle themselves with most teams. Think of the heat for them vs. the Dudleys. Ooohh I love it.

08) **ROCK ON THE WARPATH**
I'm just curious to see if it was a one night gig or not.

07) **TRISH WORKS THE STICK**
She definately needs to get more proactive in the matches.

06) **UT IS BACK**
Even though I knew he was coming (I had to watch the replay of the PPV because my podunk satallite provider is closed on Sundays and therefore had no way to order) I still marked out like a schoolboy meeting Britney Spears (that's all the talk of her you'll get from me). I and really looking forward to see where this goes.

05) **BENOIT RULES ALL**
Nothing else to say.

04) **THEY'RE BOTH IRON MAN**
Damn right! I absolutey friggin' loved this match. I think they proved that if you give to good workers enough time they use different moves and some good psychology.

03) **VAMPIRO "BEATS" HOGAN**
Screw it. My blood pressure gets dangerously high when I think of wcw - So I don't.

02) **MISEDUCATION OF BOOKER T.**
Why can't they quit wasting this guy. They push Stasiak and Palumbo, but Booker is fighting with MIA. Now they changed his name to G.I. Bro. Yea that was his name in the Indies or something, but COME ON!!

01) **THE 3 FUNNIEST MEN IN SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT**
These guys are probably the 3 best reasons why I'll be watching RAW at this time next year.

Damn that took a hell of a lot longer than I thought. Keep up the good work and I'll keep reading.
-->The author is 1000% true about Owen. And that's the way it is.

LISTO DEL FUEGO (the new one) on tap and the livin's easy.

15) **HEAD CHEESE v. PRISON GUARDS IN 7TH SEGMENT**
'Cause if they said "Go take that bathroom break NOW!" out loud, someone'd probably get fired.

14) **BRISCO'S STILL HARDCORE?**
Damnit, where's the attacks? Where's the mayhem I came to know and tolerate? Ain't it still 24-7?

13) **TANAKA/MAHONEY**
Two guys trying to kill themselves out there. Who the hell do they think they are---the Hardys?

12) **HOT POTATO IN ATLANTA**
At this rate Dub J will be a 17-time champ in time for the Fourth of July. Arrrgh, arrrgh, arrgh.

11) **CRASH & THE ACOLYTES**
Already UPN is asking Vince if they can turn it into a sitcom.

10) **WHERE WERE THE DUDLEYS?**
Did TSN stop them at the border or something? They just jealous 'cause Bubba knows how to get on down.

09) **MAJOR GUNS**
Are the No Limit Soldiers getting royalties from that nice little outfit? And what's up with the Nitro Girl jumping her? Ah, who cares. Cleavage=ratings.

08) **GOLDBERG. AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING.**
God, talk about a segment of Nitro that reeked of planning and coherence! Yeesh!

07) **MISEDUCATION OF BOOKER T.**
I give up.

06) **DAVID FLAIR IS THE SMARTEST MAN ALIVE!**
Face it: he's dating Hancock and beating up his little brother---and WCW is PAYING HIM to do so! Don't get much brighter than that.

05) **TAMMY STAYING WITHIN THE WHITE LINES**
And here I thought Dana Plato was DEAD.

04) **DRENCHED IN CONTINUITY**
Test hates Steph! It all makes sense! My brain, the pain!

03) **ECWCW?**
Is this the future with SFX? If so, let me just suggest one thing: have Gertner kill Madden, would you?

02) **/JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!**
Now he's beat Taj!r!. So where's his shot at the TV title, damnit?!

01) **ANGLE ON THE STICK**
The D-word on Smackdown, the humiliation of a country on RAW. He's the best thing to come out of Pittsburgh since the Steel Curtain. And me.

@LARGE: Lita with Hardies, Go Buh Buh! Go Buh Buh!, Viscera hurt, Pillman 2000, Kid Rock IS War, New Tag Champs, Kane's back, IC Title clusterfrickery.

Maybe I'll have a weekend spot in which I delve into the possibilities of an ECWCW. But I promise nothing, because that's the way you like it, baby.

And since you're wondering: Carson Daly is surrounded by security, so I couldn't take him down.

YET.
