Good Ol' J.R., Jr. is back this week with more news and opinions from under the white cowboy hat.

A little over two weeks before we see Stone Cold Steve Austin make his return to WWF Pay-Per-View. The Rattlesnake has issued an open challenge for the driver of the limo that ran him over last November to come forward. And when this person does come forward, you gotta believe the Rattlesnake will be itching to get back in the ring to take out his frustrations on this individual.

Another great week of TV from the WWF. The opening segment went quite a while, but the performances by those involved with that segment made it entertaining. Mick Foley plays a hilarious detective in my opinion.

Video packages are being put together to hype the return of Steven Regal to the WWF. Honestly, no vignettes are needed to hype this man's talent because Regal is a remarkable talent.

Badd Ass Billy Gunn is cleared to return to the ring September 24th, the day of Unforgiven. However, I highly doubt Mr. Ass will return to in-ring action that night.

Good exposure for The Rock at the MTV Music Video Awards last night. The Rock has really made the crossover to a mainstream star without any problem at all.

It really pains me to see Turner's company put their announcers over more than their actual talent. It will be quite a while before their television becomes watchable, let alone in the ballpark of the Federation's.

The Tazz-Jerry Lawler feud is one of the most intense feuds I have seen in many years.

I believe the move to singles competition is going to go well for both Road Dogg and X-Pac. Both of these men are excellent hands.

Could Val Venis be the next to fall prey to the RTC's message? I swear this group could brainwash a group of nuns. Steven Richards reminds me of David Koresh every time I see him go a rant.

The key to running a successful wrestling promotion is to take the fans on an emotional roller coaster for 2 or 3 hours a night giving them the best entertainment for their dollar. That doesn't mean booking an angle that only a small portion of your audience is going to understand. The term "shoot" has been thrown around so much that it has lost its meaning, if it had any in the first place. The reason why the Tazz-Jerry Lawler and Triple H-Stephanie-Kurt Angle storylines have been so successful is because the performers believe in what they are doing. Not once has a WWF announcer said or even inferred that what Tazz is doing is a shoot. However, the fans see the emotion and intensity expressed by those involved in that angle and some people may believe Tazz really doesn't like Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. However, there are some people who think all fans can determine what is real and what isn't. I can't go without saying that a successful in-ring product must go along with the storyline because if you talk a big game but can't back it up, the fans feel disappointed and cheated out their dollar.
