JIM ROSS, JR. REPORT
September 1, 2000

Good Ol' J.R., Jr. is back this week with news and opinions from under my Albany Polecats baseball cap. Yes, folks I own different hats!

This past Sunday was probably the greatest SummerSlam ever. The Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (Oh My!) match is receiving rave reviews. Many people (including many WWF Superstars) believe that was the match of the year and I couldn't agree more. Overall, it was an excellent show.

TV was great this week and the ratings for RAW spoke volumes. Despite not airing in the normal timeslot in most of the country, RAW did a 4.9 rating (which broke a ratings record) while Nitro did a 3.5 rating. Thanks to the many fans who stayed up late this past Monday night!

Quite a few superstars will be making their returns or debuts with the WWF in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned.

The WWF did over 1 million dollars at the gate this past Sunday for SummerSlam. That is incredible amount of money at the door and also set some records.

Steven Richards suffered a torn PCL in his knee at TV this week. It's a shame he didn't injure his mouth so we wouldn't have to hear his propaganda anymore.

Just my opinion, but I think T&A is the sleeper team in the WWF. Test and Albert are two guys who are going to make an impact when they're given the opportunity.

Many people are speculating that the Rattlesnake will be returning to the WWF on the September 25th edition of RAW is WAR. Personally, I can't wait for the return of Stone Cold as he'll be bound to make up for lost time by raising a little Hell!

One half of the most pompus team in the WWF, Edge made an appearance on "The View" this morning on ABC. Edge handled himself very well. Good publicity for this young superstar.

The Tazz-Jerry Lawler feud is just starting to heat up. Folks, you ain't seen nothing yet! It was nice to see my daddy get some revenge on that piece of garbage this past Sunday at SummerSlam.

The Kurt Angle-Stephanie-Triple H triangle will no doubt continue this Monday when RAW is WAR is live from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. However, the show won't air on the USA network until 11p.m. est./10 central. However, for you fans in the New York area, WWF New York will be airing the show at it's regular time. Of course, you fans on the west coast will see RAW at your normal time.

I sympathize and empathize the problems our webmaster here has been having. Hell, computers and the Internet is still a new thing to us folks out here in Oklahoma!

Enjoy the weekend everybody!

Take care.
