JIM ROSS, JR. REPORT
December 22, 2000

With Christmas just around the corner, Good Ol' J.R., Jr. returns to hand out an early stocking stuffer from under my Santa hat.

I was pleased with the TV this week for the most part. I believe the new alliance involving Edge, Christian, Kurt Angle, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, and that evil sumbitch Vince McMahon has quite a few possibilities. The Vince McMahon and Kurt Angle onslaught of Mick Foley at the end of RAW came off very well.

Speaking of Mick, he'll have a lot to do with his time off. His wife Colette has a bun in the oven about ready to come out. Also, Mick is preparing to go to work on his next autobiography. The former Commissioner has a real knack for writing if you didn't know already.

Be sure to tune into the Christmas edition of RAW this Monday night on TNN as Kane vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin is already signed. The show will be taped tonight in Chattanooga, Tennessee. SmackDown! will be taped this Saturday night in Nashville.

There is still no interest at this time in Torrie Wilson. Good Ol' J.R., Jr. is interested, but the WWF is not though.

I had a pleasant conversation yesterday with a representative of a big time corporation that has expressed interest in my steak sauce. Good Ol' J.R., Jr. is optimistic to say the least.

From where I sit, highly paid talent with out-of-control egos are enough to bring a company down. Talent with "me" attitudes who throw temper tantrums need to realize that that kind of behavior will not get them in the front door of the WWF offices. These talents need to check their egos at the door and make the best of their situation as WWF management hears the news and it doesn't make a great impression. There is no desire or need to bring in highly paid "names" who have attitude problems to the WWF locker room.

That same paragraph also applies to obese, obnoxious, and overbearing color commentators.

Road Dogg (Brian James) has been suspended indefinitely by the WWF for personal reasons. He won't be back on WWF television until his problems are fully addressed. My best goes out to Brian, as I hope he conquers his personal demons.

Weight issues continue to be the only thing holding Mark Henry and Big Show from returning to the Federation. Odds are the holiday season isn't going to help their cause either.

Eddie Guerrero will be out for a few weeks as he is nursing a sore hamstring dating back to a match against Chris Jericho.

X-Pac is still receiving therapy for his neck in which he injured in his match two months at No Mercy against Chris Jericho.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Radicalz get more TV time as this group never fails to impress me. The cream always rises to the top in the WWF. If you don't believe me, ask Chris Benoit.

Many Internet critics feel Chris Benoit is being "misused" by holding the Intercontinental Title. From where I sit, that ain't nothing but a chicken wing. Management is aware of Chris Benoit and when the time is right he will get the opportunity to compete at the highest level of the WWF. Right now, I see him continuing to show the world why he is the greatest technical wrestler today. If you still don't believe me, tune into RAW this Monday night on TNN.

The Dudley Boyz appearance at the Dec. 15th ECW show in Queens went over very well. The same can be said for their appearance on Heat this past Sunday. Honestly, I cracked a mighty big smile when I saw the Dudleys put that RTC endorsed Santa through a table.

That's all for this week. Next week I'll have some thoughts for the New Year and enough mixed metaphors that would make a retarded cohort look smarter than Sid Eudy (that won't be hard).

Happy Holidays!

J.R., Jr.
