THE MAT POTATO III
Return of the Bride of the Son of the Mat Potato

Why is it that wrestlers keep returning to gimmick matches that they have a poor record in?

The Undertaker insists on "coffin" matches, or "buried alive" matches. However, isn't his record something like 0 and all?

So, what would make Foley ask for a Hell in a Cell match? Why not a boilerroom match? Or something else that he's never won at? It's rather ludicrous, except that with a HIAC match, he has the chance to give the fans yet another insane bump. One more death-defying leap. On more chance to flirt with disaster.

I am going to order the PPV this weekend, for one reason only. As Marvelous Martin said, this could be Foley's last match ever. Either through doing the job to HHH, or serious injury.

Personally, I hope it's neither. I want to see Mick realize his dream and headline at the Garden.

He was granted one wish earlier. He was allowed to bring in his character "Dude Love". Why not allow him to realize this and let him go out in style. Can you imagine the pop he'll get when he pins HHH and gets the title? Like Martin said, get this one on tape because one way or the other, this one is going to be memorable. (Please, don't let it suck memorably).

Has anybody seen Vinny Mac since the press conference instituting the XFL? I'm a bit concerned. We have first hand knowledge of what happens when the top dog isn't around and taking an active interest in the product.

As has been previously pointed out, that's one of the major differences between WCW and the WWF. Everybody knows that Vince is in charge, he's the owner, the big wheel, the top dog, the head honcho or whatever other term you care to use.

Over in WCW land, Busch is in charge of wrestling operations, but who's above him? Or more importantly, does he have the final say in what happens? If so, why? He doesn't have a clue how to promote a successful wrestling fed.

I've been in charge of a group of people before, and I fully agree that the supervisor doesn't have to know everything if he surrounds himself with knowledgeable help. However, said supervisor has to be smart enough to know when he's being led down the garden path. And right now Busch is getting a real nosefull of flowers.

**tweet** flag on the play *** 15 yards for piling on.

Damn, did it again!
