JOB SQUAD First a big thanks to CRZ for letting me use up space on his page with my mindless rants on the state of wrestling today. Unless you have been living in a cave for a while you know the current state of the wrestling ratings war. So why is this happening? I think one of the reasons is quite simple, its the Job Squad. Job Squad? You are probably asking yourself what the hell I'm talking about...surely I don't mean the group that Al Snow led in the WWF right? Well...let just see what I am talking about: On Raw we saw one of the biggest stars of the WWF...The Rock...job to Mr. Ass! That right there in a nut shell is why the WWF is beating WCW! Not the women, not the sex, not the violence but the Job Squad! You see on any given night in the WWF its very possible to see one of the bigger if not the biggest stars get jobbed out...which means you don't know what might happen in any given match. Lets look at WCW...If there is a match with Hogan or Goldberg you already know the outcome! Remember when Nash jobbed to Rey? It was big news...but it shouldn't have been. Enter Ric Flair...the only member of WCW's Job Squad! Flair will job to get other wrestlers over but who else in WCW will? Not Hogan, not Goldberg, not Sting, not Sid, not Savage, not Buff, not Scott Steiner but only Flair and maybe DDP (well there is JTTS Benoit as well). Remember when Arn Anderson jobbed to the Renegade? Its simple if your top wrestlers will not job then your company will not win the ratings war! Its ego...its putting yourself ahead of the team and wrestling is a team game people. No one person (well maybe Hogan and his insane ego will disagree) can make a company. And if your stars won't job than you can't win! Look at the Spurs...David Robinson took a back seat and now he has the elusive NBA Title which if he didn't put his ego behind him he still wouldn't have! And soon the WWF will have the ultimate jobber coming back...yes I mean Mick Foley. Mick will do whatever he can to help out his company and guess what? Such dedication has made Mick into a superstar and gave him a title run! So WCW if you want to win you need to get the Job Squad up and running or you may find that the little jump Hogan gave you won't last. Well there is one more little thing I want to talk about and that's Jesse Ventura and Mark Madden. I'm sure many of you have read Madden's bashing of Jesse on that OTHER website. His article got me thinking. Didn't WCW contact Governor Ventura about working for them? And didn't Governor Ventura say he wouldn't work for them because of Hogan? Hmmmmm....so the Governor signs with the WWF. Yes that makes Ventura the most evil person in the world doesn't it Madden? So only 10% of his chceck is going to charity...man Ventura must be a bad person...only donating $100,000? Wait...just a minute...lets see...what if the Governor had signed with WCW?
