RICKETS' RUMBLINGS

Opiate for me

Thanks to all of you kind enough to read and respond to my first attempt. No wait, that was nobody, well fuck you all. Who needs ya? This begins my swing back to heel, I've been getting face pops all summer long, but that was mostly due to bumps I had taken, and plus I feel more comfortable this way. In that light there is only one way to do it, find the good points about WCW this summer.

Sounds impossible don't it? I must admit to a slight WWF bias, they were more entertaining when I first got into wrestling, and still give me more enjoyment. However I am mostly a WRESTLING fan no matter who it is. Sure storylines are very nice and good, but I don't have to have them. Which brings me nicely into something that Nitro used to kick ass.

Remember when you could almost count on a sweet cruiserweight match in the first hour. Sure they didn't do much to make the masses care, but as a heel I say fuck'em. Just the fact that they let Kidman, Rey Mysterio, Juventud, and Psychosis, among others 10+ minutes to fight it out almost made the last two hours bearable. (Note I said ALMOST) Even though WCW seemed to give up on it, lately some things have made welcome impressions on me.

First of all Vampiro. I liked his debut, and I like him even better now. Now I'll admit that his comments on WCW Live, and kicking the shit out of Konnan had lots to do with this feeling, but those aren't bad things. Plus his moves are awesome, that uranage is killer, the nail in the coffin works well, and that superpowerbomb on Rey, I kept rewatching that part of my tape. Plus he's now got good company, I am very much down with the clown (the Great Malenko has spent more time in my CD player since I got it then all my other CD's combined. Now if ICP would only release their shit on vinyl I'd be all set) so obviously I am gonna applaud their hooking up. And Raven, as kind of a spiritual leader is pretty cool as well.

Eddy Guerrero. When he got in that accident, I sorta thought he was all right. My friend Ryan, loved him, but I had a hard time seeing it, especially since in his matches at the time he seemed preoccupied with working on joints, which is not my favorite style. Now that he is back and seems better than before, I love this man! He looks and acts stronger than before, and his moves come off crisper. And that frog splash! Wow. Plus the fact the Eddy is getting some of the biggest cheers of the show, that is just heartwarming.

Chris Benoit Speaks. Like it seems the majority of the net I am a generous fan of the Crippler. I like his look, the nickname Canadian Crippler sounds bad ass as all hell. Oh and him wrestle well too. (English mine reproach above.) The "missing element" was to cut an interview, and I think he handled it very well. Course I am still buzzing from the time he did his headbutt from the top of the fucking cage, Jesus, we need more of that kinda shit.

I actually kinda liked Thunder this week. The DDP/ Benoit match was pretty good once again. (I hadn't finished my Nitro tape by then so I actually saw the thunder match first.) The crowd was on FIRE. I have rarely seen such a rabid crowd. And the pop when Stevie Ray smacked David Flair. I may be a newbie, but has Stevie ever gotten so much crowd response on his own? (Not that I like him at all, he kinda sucks and I hate that poor Booker has to carry his lame ass.)

That's all the good.

Random shit

I think I may make selections of emails that Dan sends me a part of this piece of shit er I mean work. That way I get to write less while giving you more. It's called value people. Plus an exclusive piece of News only available here.

I will be making a cameo at heat on Sunday night. Tickets courtesy of the Godfather, yes for real. Because who will be supplying the hoes? None other than Hooters! I don't actually work there but I know allot of people that do so I got tickets and they should be good ones. Look for a sign that reads "EAW World Champ" Among others. If all goes well, I could be burnin one with the godfather back stage, pretty sweet eh? Too bad it isn't for raw so I could see Jericho. I think that WCW will bring back "The Bad Guy" this week to counter Jericho return. They have been speculating about Razor for some time now and I'm damn ready. So do you think "Taker is behind bishoff removing Hudson from Mondays show or what?

Dan and I have agreed that the Undertaker and Bishoff are in fact one and the same, it just makes too much sense to not be true. Both are among the worst and most annoying parts of their respective companies, both are out to run our lives, I mean come on. Here are Dan's thoughts on it:

I too believe bishoff and taker are one. I also have stumbled upon some evidence that places Mark McGrath in cohoots with the Taker. I believe it is inevitable that there shall soon be a handicap cage match: Hot Carl vs. The Undertaker/Bishoff, with special guest referee: Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath! Call your local cable or satellite provider to subscribe. Funny thing is that ill be the face in this bout. Imagine that. Actually ive already decided to take on Venis and Godfather and turn down the hoes Because I know ill get over and it will totally be a shoot, ill cream their candy ass and get signed right away. Yesterday I took a brutal outsiders edge about 10 feet up. I'm really gonna get hurt some day. My EAW World Championship Belt is beginning construction. Ive been delaying for some time and its getting late.

On that Note, the EAW should really come into its own this fall. Anyone have good ideas for ring construction? We've just signed a whole bunch of exciting new talent, and the companies stars have been working hard to make it better for y'all.

I am excited beyond all belief for Monday's Raw. This really should be one of the best shows in a long time, and Chris Irving is a Demi-God. Too bad Ralphus didn't come along, that was awesome. Or at the very least like Chris said have him manage some of the cruisers and help them get over. But that would be a step in the right direction and it's plain that WCW is avoiding that step at all costs. Literally.

That's all the bullshit I've got for now. Despite all my pathetic attempts at humor, still the single funniest part about this column is that people may actually read it and become dumber for it. HAAHHAHAHA it's my plot to bring down civilization.

Personal note, I shall be celebrating birthday number 21, so its doubtful that I will survive the weekend. Certainly my brain won't be able to handle the amount of alcohol it will be trying to deal with. Which is good cuz this summer I've been on a no recreational drug binge, which is both unusual and unhealthy. If there are any errors above, feel free to mail me and I'll burn your fucking house down. Fair!?!?! Who's the fucking nihilist around here?
