STICK IT
Stick It and the great grand return of the nWo!

I'm glad to see the nWo angle back, if not just because I got the title for this column from Hogan's famous speech, but also because this may be just what WCW needs to get back some viewers. I'll just admit that I didn't see the payoff from last night being the reformation of the nWo, the Hart heel turn, yes, but not the nWo.

Some people may say this is a last ditch effort to capture viewers, and no doubt it could be. Either that or Russo has had this in mind from day one when he started. Not to think I can read his mind, but what was Russo doing during the first nWo era? Editing the WWF magazine? I think so, simply said, he wants his chance to write the second hottest storyline in wrestling history. Tonight was the beginning.

(note: I may never praise Russo ever again, save this column)

Hart, Hall, Nash, and Jarrett make a fine nWo, and now I fully expect Russo to appear on camera finally has their office leader (just like Bischoff, but you know, Russo can rock the mic just a little better). Was the Powers That Be a front for the New World Order? Perhaps, and when you think about it, it's a good way to think about it. Russo brought Crash TV into wrestling and changed the sport on television as we know, so him leading the group is a good idea. The balance of real life/story and internet/mark is there, we can hate Russo for ruining 20 minute matches, marks can hate him for being a prick.

Is he putting himself over? Of course he did!!! So did Vince!!! But I believe that was some good heel heat Bret got when he turned, so perhaps he is putting the talent over. I won't b!tch about contintunity right now, cause Nash's promise of getting the band back togeather happened, Jarrett's relationship with the outsiders in weeks past has meaning now, and Bret did know of last night's screwjob, so it's easy to say (storyline wise) that this was the plan from the beginning. Anyway, it was mark out city for me!

Enough praising of WCW, cause I know they can screw it up......but one other things, I do believe Goldberg is now the main focus and "hero" of the company.

Topic Two: I also checked in with RAW!

RAW was soaked in story, but delivered the goods when it came to wrestling too. There was a very errie childlike horror to the Santa things.....it also brought back horrible memories of the many Stings angle. So horrible, so cold......so alone. This did set up the Foley-HHH fued. I was on the phone with a friend of mine and recalled the last fued these two had, now what did Mick have to do to finally win the war? Oh yea, he became Cactus Jack at MSG, I'd bet money it happens again at the Rumble.

Stephaine is in tight pants....................no damn complaints!

Kane once again showed why he deserves the belt by out working the Big Slow like he was going to win the match. I could care less about the Tori thing, whatever, he has a chick, big deal! Big Show needs the lose the belt soon.

The Holly vs Venis match wasn't too bad despite the oddball stipulation, I'd like to the see those guys again w/o all the nakedness and puppies, and Holly vs Jericho on Smackdown should be great. Holly is my most improved wrestler of the year.

PLUG: Go read the results of the awards right now, right here on slash wrestling!!!!!! YEAH BABY, PLUG!

The Hardy/Brood thing had me confused because I missed the set up and didn't know who was with who, but it was still the best match of the night. All they need to do now is just a four way dance, that would rock!

Speaking of Rock, Thank You Rock for finally letting Al beat you, screwjob (there it is again!) or not, Al Snow went over the Rock tonight......never thought i'd see that happening (at least not somewhere other then me playing WM2000)

Props the Mea Young the bump machine, did she take 3D? I missed the end of the match but i'm guessing she took something, I saw the No Mercy match where she thought she was Jeff Hardy or something. Really folks, I hope the WWF is taking good care of her and Moolah, they don't have any other reason to do what they are doing aside from plain old entertainment. Actually, I do think they are funny at times, the thing with Henry is gross, but I'm just amazed they are stilling willing to work at their age. Here's to adding Mea to the Hall of Fame.

Mea Young bumps more then Hogan does now.

That.....is........sad

On, that note, I'm going to cut this edition short (heh, I bet I'll be saying that again very soon) but I think over break I'll do more writing so don't surprise if I do this again before Friday!!!! WOW!

Take care, beware, and remember....the .....a.....how's the end?
