Well, the sale of wcw.... ok.... don't have much to say on that at the present moment.... I'm sure we'll see some sort of change, so I guess I'll hold out for post PPV happenings to see where this goes.

As for Monday night RAW... that main event kicked all sorts of ass. Suplex after suplex... that has been the best match I've seen on regular TV in a VERY long time... at least as a main event. I thought Austin/Benoit was pretty good too, but this one had more excitement. And I'm not even an Austin mark, what's up with that!?

The rest of Raw was neither here nor there. I wasn't too crazy about the Chyna stuff, and some of the other things didn't quite click. Yet, I am intrigued by the McMahon/Trish stuff, and so on.

As for the main event happenings. Here's my spin on things. I would love for Austin to turn heel. That would be fresh and would work really well I think. With Austin's main opponent being HHH, Austin is the defacto heel. At the same time, it's a believable feud because Austin's been tormenting Steph. Steph close with Vince so Austin aligning with Vince would be awkward at this point, which was the only cool way to turn Austin heel. At the same time, Angle is the champ, and would be great as a face against a heel Austin, but with Trish at his side this A) ruins my whole Steph screws HHH to go with Angle thing, and B) ruins the Austin/Angle double switch since Trish is aligned with Vince. It's all so compliceated.

Someone either here or on Wrestleline did a nice little "what if" concerning Austin and Angle, go look for it....

Anywho. For now, R.I.P. ECW... you will be missed greatly...

I tried to watch wcw on Monday but I just really couldn't enjoy where it was going. So in turn I just read Thunder spoilers instead of actually watching it... and in turn watched Temptation Island (since I'm an A&E editor and needed to see what all the fuss was about.). After 10 minutes I wanted to shoot myself in the head it was that bad.

Still, it's sad.... today I updated my paper's Neilson's Ratings box that had laid dormant since last September, and had to take wcw out of it. Raw still held the same positions -- with slightly lower number and a different network, and wcw was nowhere to be found (however, note I only run the top 10 or so shows).

All right... well, I'm off to get the last copy of the Planet of the Apes DVD box set before they're gone... maybe forever! Speaking of DVD's... I'm slowly working through the FMW thing like I mentioned last week.

Anyway, I have to run... must make mental note to allot more time for weekly article... Props to CRZ this week for some seriously funny and good recaps on site.
