THE PEOPLE'S COLUMN

Hi and welcome to your home of all of the important info, the People's Column. I'm your party host Andy and this week, we have all kinds of goodies for ya. Don't forget that This Week in '90s Wrestling History has moved out and into it's own little expanded column. Anywho, this week... the opening comments, I Get Letters Too, Raw vs Nitro, a bunch of questions that are left unanswered (cough cough hummer cough cough), not one, not two, but three entries into the People's Hall of Fame, and whatever else I can cram into this mamma jamma.

Sorry about the lack of a column last week. I actually had it all typed up but I didn't get a chance to send it Wednesday. But don't fret, little ones (I sound like Ivory)... the first four columns in January are going to be MASSIVE. I know this because I started compiling stuff for them a month ago.

Just to let you know, Tuesday, Dec. 7th, is my 19th birthday. Make all checks payable to Andy Moseley. And hey, it's also Tammy Sytch's birthday. Beauty and beauty go together.

Your high school football update (I know... WE DON'T CARE!)... Brunswick High won both their first and second round playoff games and this Friday it's Parkview at BHS right here in town. We lost up in Brookwood in round three last year (I was a part of the nice, long, cold drive to and from Atlanta... but their concession stand had Chick-fil-A sandwiches so all was forgiven), so hopefully this year we can win this game and advance to next week's semifinals game in the Georgia Dome (Nitro, Raw... HA! We've got Georgia high school football buddy... and it's on public television! WOW! Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Riverdance, Yanni, and high school football! Sorry.).

I enjoyed the WWF's Greatest Hits show on UPN (you know... check your local listings). I finally got to see a little more of the Hardys-Edge/Christian ladder match which looks spectacular. Maybe one day I'll get to rent the No Mercy video. The best line of the whole show was Al Snow saying he can "X" out a future occupation as a Wal-Mart greeter. But did showing all of the Austin-Vince footage leave many highlights for the "Austin vs McMahon" home video? I didn't think so either.

Just wondering... when did the turkey bowl match become an annual tradition?

I GET LETTERS TOO

Well, I didn't get any letters for last week's column since there wasn't a column. I got three for the week before though and they look like so. All apoligies to Michaelangelo's who's letter was accidentally deleted. You da man.

Letter #1:

"Nitro is Russo... SUCKED. Don't get me wrong, there were some good matches and as a Norman Smiley fan, I enjoyed his match with Jimmy Hart (well, most of it).... But come on Russo, let's get your mind straight. You didn't even put yourself on TV all the time (OK, your voice and arms) in the WWF. I know, maybe McMahon wouldn't let you be the star and you wanted out... Too bad Russo's burning all these bridges, he may want back in one day. First he gets Nash to do his McMahon impression, then we get the pitiful JR imitation. I guess Russo has already nailed the two top guys in the WWF that you would want to be in with, so I guess Vic Venom will never return."

I'm sure you've heard already probably, but that godawful "Not Jim Ross" was 1/2 of We Need Ego Control, "Easy" Ed Ferrara, just to add an interesting point to that argument.

I GOT mentioned in the letterz last week! Too bad this is inevitably going to lead to a Ateam article by myself that will be absolutely atrocious. :-)

Mr. T

At first I didn't know who was playing JR Jr., but I did learn somehow it was Ego #2 Ed. Or as I know know him, good 'ol EF. Oh yeah... I pity the fool who doesn't go and read Mr. T's latest column. I believe it's a Christmas poem. Mr. T is a certified slash columnist (he gets one of those little slashes next to his name... I'm jealous) so you know it's gotta be good.

Letter #2:

Although, I haven't been able to go to CRZ.net enough(or watch the shows), I'll be contributing some input to the column soon. Have you written a new one yet?

Serpent231

You can NEVER go to CRZ.net enough. Or Andy Online (hint hint link at the bottom hint hint). As of right now, yes... I have written a new one.

This is a special letter #3. It has nothing to do with the column. Like any ever do. Anyway, this is from THE MAN after I visited his website. Enjoy.

Letter #3:

Dear Andy Moseley,

I loved reading your message! Right now, everyone here at the North Pole is working hard to make this a special Christmas! I've noticed from watching you that people like you a lot. Keep up the good work!

We've had lots of cold weather up here, and, as I'm writing you this letter, I just noticed it has started to snow again. But then that's not surprising since it snows here 365 days a year and 366 on leap year! From my window, I can see the reindeer playing in the snow. They love snowball fights! So do I! I also love snow basketball. We make a basketball out of snow! It is easy to shoot, but it definitely does not dribble well. The record for dribbles it one. It is shared by everyone in the village who has played.

Well, I've got to go now. Mrs. Claus is calling me for lunch. She makes the best chestnut soup you've ever tasted. And for dessert, she is making another of my favorites, the "Santa Shake." To see some of here fun holiday recipes, just visit her kitchen next to our house in the Village on CLAUS.COM. Say hello to everybody for me! Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

Your pal,
Santa Claus,

It's official... I have no life. You know what's cool though? You can go to the site and check your "Naughty or Nice Rating." I'm always on the nice list, so HA. OK, enough junk.

RAW vs NITRO

Raw is Luv - I thought Raw was great this week. I didn't really expect the wedding angle to play out like it did, and I have to admit it is a cool way to do it. Since it looks like the Armageddon Vince vs HHH match might have the HHH/Stephanie wedding on the line, this could be a hot couple of weeks for the WWF... You know what would have made me totally mark out? If Brother Love would have officiated the wedding... I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuve yoooooooou... It also would have rocked if Elvis would have officiated the HHH/Steph wedding at the drive thru... Thankfully, it was not First Lady Barbara Bush getting her shirt torn off.

Nitro is Mud - Nitro was great this week too, at least the parts I've seen so far... I admit it, good ol' EF as Oklahoma is starting to grow on me... It's about time Chae gets in on these catfights... When's the Chae vs Spice mud wrestling match? (yes, I know they are on the same side... so?)... How does Tony Schiavonie always miss getting hurt? Rick Steiner can take out Scott Hudson and Jeff Jarrett can crack the gee-tar over Tenay's head, but Tony never gets any? Even JR, Michael Cole, and the King take shots... That number once again is 555-DEAL - CatBo is 50% off... Speaking of the Cat, I want him back on Nitro!

AND THE ANSWER... WILL NEVER BE KNOWN

As you know, there are so many unanswered questions in wrestling. Let's take a look at 'em. If you know any answers or have a hypothesis (geez, science words... stupid college) onto how the question might one day be answered, shoot me an e-mail. Maybe some of these questions do have answers, but to me they are unanswerable. Prove me wrong if you can (please... need letters)! First, the obvious few...

Who was driving the hummer?

Who raised the briefcase?

Who pushed Mankind in the boiler room with the pole?

And then, the rest...

When Gene Mean was dancing in the gentlemens' club on Nitro, did he flashback to dancing with the Gobblygooker?

How did Head get that railroad spike out of itself?

Does the Big Show still play around with monster trucks in his spare time?

What happened to the crazy people that were with Ric Flair at the mental institution?

Does Kane still do Jerry Lawler's dentistry?

When's the last time The Rock actually ate Chef Boyardee Overstuffed Beef Ravioli?

What exactly was so powerful about that urn?

Did Crash Holly ever experiment with racing?

What happened to that rule about Saturn having to wear a dress?

When the Warrior leaves Wal-Mart, does a big poof of smoke appear?

Did Sonny Onno ever develop all of those rolls of film he used to take?

Why did WCW go all that time saying Greenberg was undefeated when Jericho had three wins against him?

Does Berlyn do that dorky dance when he goes clubbin'?

What is shiznit?

Who wears the pants in the family, Rena or Marc?

Does Creative Control still ride around on those beautiful Titan bikes?

Does Bryan Adams hang out with Creative Control?

Does Mide-a-i-on still hog farm?

Every once in a while, does Dave Hebner referee instead of Earl?

Will there be a column in WCW Magazine by Vic Venom?

Did Nailz get sent back to jail?

Why DO the fans boo Kurt Angle?

Did Rashiki learn to dance from Yokozuna, who he apparently learned everything else from?

Are Yamaguchi Son and Mrs. Yamaguchi living happily ever after?

Does Lord Steven Regal still squeeze his own orange juice and chop his own wood?

Is Steve Austin still the Million Dollar Champion?

Are Yurple and Bertha Faye (or whatever she is now) related?

How did Al Snow ever get out of all of that fencing he was wrapped up in at St. Valentine's Day Massacre?

What do those symbols on the Acolytes' chests mean?

If Russo wants ratings, how come Gorgeous George isn't mud wrestling and Roddy Piper is?

if Russo wants ratings, how come Piper is on TV period?

Do Chris Candido, Tom Prichard, and Tammy Sytch still exercise together?

Why isn't Jerry Lawler offended anymore when Burger King sponsors Raw?

Who's area is DJ Ran in now?

What happened to the spanish announce table?

What happened to Radio WWF?

Who was the photographer that threw the fire in Hulk Hogan's eyes at KOTR '94?

Who was the guy under the mask that hit Hogan in the knee with the pipe in Tonya Harding-form at that Clash?

Did Sid's record for the millennium end or what?

Is Charles Robinson on Ric Flair's side or Sid Vicious' side?

Well, that's all the questions I have for you for now. Feel free to send me your answers along with any questions you think up; my e-mail is down there (down where?).

THE PEOPLE'S HALL OF FAME

Since I haven't inducted anyone lately, this week we add three new members to the PHOF.

First, congratulations to TOO COOL. Be honest, are these guys not the coolest tag team ever? They can dance and if you aren't their homey they will take you out. I think they are the greatest. I'm down with Rishiki too.

Your third entrant (for those of you who didn't figure it out, Too Cool counts as two... two people = two entrants) is THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE. It's been through so much, it should be given a lifetime achievement award.

Well, that's your column for now. Next week the column might not appear, it might be early, it might be late... who knows. It's final exam week at the big college for me next week. That includes one at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday (my birthday and I have to get up at 5:30 just to be ready for a final... geez) and another Thurday at 7 a.m., among a few others. But you will hear something from me hopefully. Until then... keep your feet in the stars and your head in the ground.
