WRESTLING REPRESSION

It's been a couple days since Miss Kitty showed her breasts to the world at Armageddon. Since them among fans the response has been different than expected and there has actually been a bit of negativity. Every male WWF fan out there likes breasts believe me but some think that a line was crossed. Was it really? Why wasn't this negativity as strong whenever Mr. Ass would rip down his tights and moon half the people in the building? What about the ladder matches where Shawn Micheals' ass was exposed several times. Those are a few questions I would like Bob Ryder to answer. Bob Ryder isn't the only problem; believe me the media will see it the same way. Why is it okay for woman in Southern Ontario to walk around bare breasted and not okay for the WWF to show a few seconds? Maybe us Canadians are just crazy. Or maybe we are reading much too into this and we should look at what it really was just two seconds where a pair of breasts were shown.

Raw thoughts....

Chris Jericho did well last night as his first night as a full-fledged face. With the second biggest pop of the night and probably the wrestler that has the largest 'smart audience' base he will be a star. Hopefully he keeps onto the IC title for a long time ala Rocky Miavia to restore some much-needed credibility. I'd like to see the feud with X Pac and Chyna continue. WWF management continues to work Chyna against great talent. On a side note the Jericho/X Pac match wasn't all that great by the standards they should follow.

One match that was great last night was The Hardyz/Edge&Christian program but we've come to expect that. Jeff Hardy is the next Shawn Micheals but don't look for Matt to get lost in the shuffle via Marty Jennetty. With Jeff doing all those senton bombs expect his back to end up like Shawn Micheals. Good stuff of course from Edge and Christian as well; its just all so innovative.

Good GTV segment with Mark Henry. A woman taking 'experience' to a whole new level. Normal stuff from the Godfather/Mark Henry match.

Same old stuff from Rock/Mankind and it was nice to see The Dudleyz thrown in there for some exposure but I think some other teams would have been better i.e. Too Cool. As obvious as it was I didn't think that was Al Snow under that Vince McMahon mask. The body had more of a Road Dogg figure to it or even Jason Sensation for that matter! Good segment though a little long.

Good T&A pudding match, the WWF woman brawls are starting to get better than ECW's cat fights. Tori has some nice breasts but her arms are bigger than a lot of the WWF superstars which isn't really a turn on. What ever happened to Ivory?

Everything else was average stuff that you can see any addition of RAW. Vote Wade Bogges (spelling?) for best guest appearance of the year! This thing with The Big Show is not working out and what works for ECW (Mike Awesome) is not going to work for a big promotion like the WWF. People won't even buy Prince Albert and Bossman as contenders and it's not going to help the situation of people not buying The Big Show as the WWF champion; yet.

Now to start on the whole McMahon/Triple H/Test thing. I like Steph's new sluttish look and believe me the mic/acting talent will come. Triple H worked well but his music cannot be playing that much in a two hour span. A lot more compelling things could have been done with the Test thing and I did expect more; but it was still full filling. I would have like to see Test/Triple H fight for Steph's love and it would have been that red hot storyline that Test needs to be over and prove himself. Triple H really laid one on Stephanie too! Once again it does the job and will make me want to tune in next week or maybe even this Thursday on Smackdown!

Almost forgot to mention the great changes made to the RAW set up.

Other thoughts...

I saw Politically Incorrect and Piper did act like an idiot and my opinion is the same as Meltzer's. I forget the show's host's name but he was even more of an idiot than Piper. If I was working for the WWF right now and I was getting those stupid questions I would just bring up how my product kicks the ass of his show in the ratings each and every week.

Nothing much else to comment on off the top of my head, look out for another Wrestling Repression Wednesday or Thursday.
