Armageddon - the last battle between good and evil before the Day of Judgement, or the place where this would be fought. That's what the Oxford Dictionary says. I don't think the WWF meant this when they named this PPV, though I could see Vince McMahon reasoning this, especially as he's booked himself for the main event. Does Vince think he's Conan the Barbarian or something? Actually, I'm far too scared that the answer could possibly, maybe be yes.

I have a 'unique' viewpoint here because I have watched ZERO WWF television since I watched was Survivor Series. I don't have the facilities to watch it you see. I have little or no idea about plot developments, neither do I care. This is about WRESTLING DANGNAMMIT! Anyway here are the matches and what I think could happen......

THE REAL ATHLETE KURT ANGLE vs THE LETHAL WEAPON STEVE BLACKMAN

Battle of the pointless titles! I'm looking forward to this. It's so cool seeing Steve come out with that DUB DUBBA DUBBA DUBBA DUBBA DUB DUB music. I'm not sure if Steve will win this to be honest. Steve is really actually rather impressive but Angle seems to be getting pushed and Blackman has to play second fiddle. Again. I could possibly see Angle go totally ape shit in this match which could start up a whole angle.

Prediction - win for Angle, though it won't be easy.

X-PAC vs. KANE

I hope this is the end of this feud, it should have ended at Survivor Series but any excuse to have Tori kicked in the face I suppose. Honestly though, they really should have had Kane kick X-Pac's ass last time and I'm hoping for an absolute massacre this time. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Tori heel turn actually, I've gotten pretty used to seeing them on a regular basis and I bet I'm not the only one. But I'll have to go with Kane kicking ass and scoring the victory after lots of savage beating and an enormous choke slam/tombstone.

Prediction - Kane wins after fighting off outside interference and showing X-Pac a new definition in pain.

TAG TEAM BATTLE ROYAL FEATURING EDGE AND CHRISTIAN. THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW.

These teams are, of course fighting for the chance to job to the tag champs (cynical, moi?). This is one of those "this kinda line up kinda looks a but shakey. Lets throw those tag teams in the ring and they can jump around at each other for a while" matches. This could be interesting, seeing as most of the good young talent currently resides in the tag division. Expect to see good progress for Edge and Christian and they will come out as the winners. Of course they are my favourite tag team in the whole world and I am therefore BIASED. CRZ doesn't have a monopoly on it you know.

Prediction - Edge and Christian shame every other tag team in the WWF, even those not taking part. YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

RAKISHI & VISCERA vs. THE HOLLYS IN A "THIS SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT JOKE IS GETTING REALLY OLD" MATCH.

I'll never forgive Bob for pinning Christian at Survivor Series. NEVER. This match will certainly slow the pace down a little. I can see Crash getting seriously trampled in this match. Viscera isn't so bad, I'm still not over his rolling heel kick on Edge from a while back. Unfortunately I have yet to see Rakishi but I have heard he has one hell of a scary ass. I can't see this one ending cleanly if the Hollys are going to get the victory. I'll have to go with a screw job ending with Hardcore getting the win. Shouldn't Bob get his name changed? The 'hardcore' is getting a little obsolete now don't you think? Unless they have a very adult angle for him soon.......

Prediction - Hollys win by being no good, dirty, cheating, low life bastard scum.

VAL VENIS vs. THE BULLDOG (vs. D'LO?) FOR THE EUROPEAN (HA!) TITLE.

As much as I would like to see the European Title on a European (at least D'Lo had the decency to lie) the Bulldog is going down. He may be muscular, but he is a wrinkled, dishevelled shadow of his former self. Val is getting a little old in the gimmick sense but he is amusing and isn't a bad wrestler to boot. He could give a bit of class to a belt which really doesn't mean much anyway. If indeed D'Lo does also appear in this match, it would certainly take some of the emphasis off the Bulldog's wrestling which is just fine with me.

Prediction - Ten minutes of sheer torture, then a victory for Val.

THE ROCK (with plans for WORLD DOMINATION) & MANKIND vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS for the World Tag Team Titles

I must mention once again here that: I HATE THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. Tell your friends, tell the world, for it is true. I don't like The Rock either, but in terms of popularity with me The Rock is Chris Benoit compared to the NAO. That's because I HATE THEM. But as much as it pains me to admit it, the NAO are going to come out of this with the win and it will come at the hands of Al Snow. Tell me of a good reason why Al won't get involved in this match, and I'll still ignore it. Al is going to take someone out, and the NAO are going to, going to, sorry this is hard for me *sniff*, retain. Unless Al hits the wrong person by accident, or attacks The Rock and replaces him as Foley's partner, then turns on him. I don't know. Hey, Ishould write this stuff!

Prediction - some sort of tainted victory, probably for the New Age Outlaws, because Al Snow got involved.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. CHYNA FOR THE THEWWFDOESN'TGIVEASHITABOUTTHISBELTANYMORE TITLE.

People have said that if Jericho doesn't win this time, his career is over. I feel this is a little harsh, but his status in the WWF can only get better really. Jericho is getting bigger pops that Chyna I hear. Combine this with the fact that this feud is going to go to shit if it lasts any longer, you have a Jericho victory. The man needs a belt, it's a simple as that. If he doesn't win, I'll never forgive wrestling in general for making me believe in it and then heartlessly dashing my young naive hopes on the rocks of discontent. My soul is at stake here guys, let the man win.

Prediction - Jericho wins the belt. He might cheat or something.

BIG BOSS MAN vs. BIG SHOW PAUL WIGHT FOR THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WOOOORRRRRRLLLLLLD.

Battle of the 'BIG's! Please, just don't let the Boss Man win and let this crap be all over with. Bring back the Undertaker, that would be cool. I just don't want to see these two feud EVER AGAIN.

Prediction - The Big Show wins. Then he cries for a bit. Then he goes home. Make it short.

TRIPLE H vs. MR MCMAHON IN A 'TRY AND STOP MM FROM FALLING ASLEEP MATCH'

Two things to consider here. Firstly, as I live in Britain, I will be watching this match at something like 3:00 am. Secondly, its Vince freakin' Mcmahon again. I'm not expecting a very tactical or scientific match. I suppose it has the possibility of being rather violent so one or both of them will probably 'juice'. But the aim here is to keep the action going and avoid making me fall to sleep due to a combination of sleep depravation and boredom. I'll be waiting for the screwjob ending because that will be the only part of this match that will be interesting. Come on, there HAS TO BE a screwjob ending. Somebody comes down to 'help' and SHOCK HORROR!! They turn on that guy and JR has a hysterical fit over the whole thing.

Prediction - Expect to hear from Jim Ross: "HE JUST HIT TRIPLE H WITH THE [INSERT INANIMATE OBJECT HERE]!!" X3, or "HE JUST HIT MR MCMAHON WITH THE [INSERT INANIMATE OBJECT HERE]!!"X3. I really could write this stuff.

Well, that's your lot. I hope you all enjoy the PPV. I'm sure it will be another epic battle of 'men fighting for their very souls and their right to live as MORTAL MEN ON EARTH' or some crap like that.
