MURMURINGS

Before I get into my thoughts/opinions, I want to let you guys know that I welcome any and all comments concerning this column. If you'd like to write to me, please drop me a note at ladyxpac@hotmail.com. I promise to write back, as long as you're nice!

There's not a lot to say about Raw... It was an okay show, but most of the matches (with the exceptions of Eddie vs. Chyna and Holly vs. Holly) were terribly predictable. From most of the KOTR qualifying matches to the handicapped matches Kane, UT and Rock had to wrestle in, even a five-year-old could guess who was going to win!

I knew that neither X-Pac nor Buh-Buh Ray Dudley would advance any farther in the tournament because of the DX/Dudleys rematch scheduled for this Sunday's PPV. I'm skeptical about Tori's involvement in the match... If she wants to REALLY wrestle, then her participation will be a GOOD thing; if she only wants to do lame kicks like she did on Raw, then she pretty much has no business being in the ring. Though I doubt she'll ever be on the level of Debra or Stephanie as far as popularity goes, Tori has gotten over a bit by holding her own against the Dudleys, and hopefully the WWF will let her continue that in the match Sunday, even if she probably WILL go through the table this time!

I couldn't tell that Russo wasn't involved in writing this week's Nitro at all. The show was good, but I do hope Russo will return to the WCW fold. I don't always agree with his writing style, but he has done the promotion some good.

The same stuff I praised last week (Daffney/David Flair/Miss Hancock, the Triple Threat) deserves praise again this week. I really like Daffney; she's not like most women in wrestling, who look and act like bimbos, and I hope she'll come out on the winning end of the feud with Hancock and Flair. The Triple Threat's match against Kronic and Buff Bagwell was good, and that feud shows lots of promise.

One thing I forgot to mention last week was Kanyon's impersonation of DDP. I love it - he does Page's voice and mannerisms perfectly!

Let's hope the G.I. Bro character is gone, and that Booker T. is back!

Was that a GOOD Scott Steiner match at the end of Nitro? I like Jeff Jarrett, but Steiner held his own during the match, and I was even on the edge of my seat a few times during that one.

I've finished with my ramblings, so it's time to take my toys and go home now. Take care, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
