BRASS KNUCKLES WRESTLING

WWF

First of all, all of our prayers and thoughts here at Brass Knuckles Webzine are with Droz, his family, and friends as well as D'LO who can't be feeling to good right now. Keep fighting it Droz, I know you'll be back up and walking again. Just keep the faith and never give up......I have to say that Vince Russo was not lying when he said he was burnt out. He wrote the last episode of Smackdown and it was the worst WWF Raw or Smackdown I've seen in the last 6 months. As the Rock might say, Smackdown was the Rock and Val Venus + and 1:55 minutes of monkey crap. The promos were bad, the wrestling was bad, and some of it was hideous.....Why do we need see anything with Moolah and Mae Young in it. Is there anybdoy on Earth who's enjoying 80 year old women running around the WWF? Anybody????...Along these same lines, I was thinking how lame the whole Mark Henry thing was when he was in a psychologists office. When he said he has sex for the first time when he was 8, I started going "Please don't let this be sick. Please don't let him have been molested." Then they busted out the "I slept with my sister when I was 8 and then yesterday" OH GAWD ARE THEY INSANE!!! IS THIS DELIBERATE SABOTAGE OF MARK HENRY'S CAREER!!!!! VOMIT!!!!!!!.......I saw Mankind on G vs. E. I've seen the show a couple of times and it was ok. I watched again cuz Mick Foley was on their and he was terrific. He really has charisma that translates to the screen. He made the show really interesting and I hope he gets another chance to get on tv.....I still like Austin but he's definitely the #2 face in the company now behind the Rock and debatably the #3 face behind Foley. A heel turn for him right now might be just the thing for Austin and the WWF.....Despite the fact that they completely muffed their finisher the Headbangers looked good in the ring together. Chaz certainly wasn't getting over by himself and I definitely think the whole in this case is greater than the sum of the parts...Ah yes, JR. Vs. Chyna in the middle of the ring for a significant amount of time. Ah, the excitement :P......Also for the first time in a long time Steve Austin was not in the main event. That says it all about who the WWF considers the companies top face. I gotta agree with the WWF.....The Terry invitational tournament, t.i.t, vulgar, vulgar, vulgar, lolololol......I hear the WWF is interested in Ms. Congeniality. I don't blame them. She's hot and I hear she can wrestle. I hope they bring her in. The only question I have is why doesn't ECW have her locked up and under contract?....

WCW

For the first time in a long time I was watching Nitro at 9 and didn't have the urge to change the channel. WCW has been improving their game a lot and the WWF has been slipping lately. I decided to ride it out and see what WCW could do for me on Nitro. Yes, I was interested and as long as WCW gave me a reason to keep watching I was going to stick with it. Then Hogan hit the ring and I turned the channel :P.......I'm still weirded out by the fact that there was this list of 18 wrestlers that WCW supposedly released. The list of names was everywhere on the net. I even wrote a special edition of Brass Knuckles about it speculating on where these guys would end up. Well, Damn near every one of the people that were supposedly released were on TV in the last two weeks. I'm really scratching my head about that? Anyone out there that can explain it?......I don't know what kind of weird crap is happening between WCW and the Nitro girls but it's time to end it. I want to see the Nitro girls 3 or 4 times a show at least......I gotta tell you I've never really understood why Meng gets the kind of push he does. I'll grant you that he's been around a long time and they've sold him as this undestrucible goon. He also has a great looking finisher. Other than that he has nothing going for him. He doesn't show much in the ring and he can't cut a promo to save his life. They still sell him like Goldberg jr even though he's not that over and hasn't been in a long time. I just scratch my head when I think about it.....I love these rumors that Hogan is going to leave WCW. Where is he going to go? He surely can't think he's going to be a huge star in the WWF. Can you imagine the WWF putting him over the Rock or Steve Austin for example? Yah right. Of course there's always ECW, hahahahahahah....Ya know I actually like Sid but they have long since run this angle with Goldberg into the ground. You just can't run a feud this long with someone with no wrestling. It's fine if you want to run some promos but if you don't cap it off in the ring the fans get bored. Plus, the feud is also anti-climatic because we all know there's absolutely no chance in Hell that Sid will get the pin over Goldberg at Halloween Havoc....Last but not least, here's some guys to watch in the Russo era: The Disco Inferno, Scott Hall, Brad Armstrong, Buff Bagwell, Chris Benoit, and Buff Bagwell. Russo will push the over mid-carders and he loves people who can work a mike. Benoit and Kidman haven't shown much on the mike yet but they are over. The other 4 can work a mike and they have talent. Don't be suprised to see all of them move up radically over the next year in the promotion....
