THE WRESTLING WORLD TODAY

Dear CRZ,

I think you always do a pretty job of updating what happens at the TV shots like Raw and Nitro. I thought I would just drop what I felt about the state of the wrestling world. First off, I haven't been able to see any of the ECW house shows so I am going to say nothing about them (since I try to reserve judgment until I actually see something). I am excited about Taz eventually coming to the WWF though.

First off, WCW.

All this crying about Sting turning heel is really wearing me thin. I always hear this paying dues (being a heel for awile) in order to be successful. It always bothered me that Sting always wanted to be a face. I had little respect for him due to that. Well, now I have more respect for him because he IS NOW a heel. But, he needs new gimmicks to be an effective heel instead of the old Sting "shout".

Him as the top heel and Lex Luger around is actually a good swerve to me. I do wish that Luger receives his due and gets a chance to hold the world gold for more than week one of these days. Remember a few years back when he beat Hollywood Hogan for the title for all of six days. It was a great time for him.

The angle with Hogan and Flair is nice. I'm a little surprised that they returned Hulkamania when they did. I thought that they would build it up more. They SHOULD have. Well, WCW has a history of blowing chances. Flair needs to go out into the sunset soon.

Let's see. The Revolution. Shane Douglas hasn't impressed him as much. Him doing a slow heel turn sounds right. You know, I haven't had much to complain about WCW of late.

The only thing is that Booker T is back to being only the tag team champ. The whole Sid-Goldberg angle doesn't seem that good. I think if Goldberg ran in and costed Sid the U.S. belt to BT, that would have been good. Then, Sid can cost Goldberg a loss to say, Rick Steiner or Booker T also. It would be only Goldberg's second loss ever. I think that would raise the stakes of their eventual match and also give BT a nice push.

Enough of WCW.

Let me turn to the WWF.

First off, HHH (whom I've always detested) actually makes a decent heel champ. But, having him regain the title at Unforgiven seems crummy. I still think if there is a way, Shawn Michaels should come out of retirement and have it out with HHH at a big PPV main event. THAT would be a match.

With the pops Chyna has been getting lately, maybe it wouldn't hurt if HHH gets jealous and turns on her. Frankly, I thought a Chyna-Nicole Bass match would be interesting to watch. Let Chyna win the WWF Women's title, THEN challenge for the I-C belt or even HHH's World belt.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (who I don't think highly of either, but more so than others)is back. He's growing a bit stale. Perhaps this is just one huge swerve by Vincent K. with his feud with HHH, but that angle is starting to get old. Austin may need to turn heel.

Rocky Miavia (who I detest just as much as HHH) drives me nuts. As much as the cliches are cute and intersting, his attitude is insufferable. Can you say HEEL TURN? Instead, they may have Mankind (who I like) do it. I think Mick Foley deserves a title reign that lasts longer than a day or a week.

Jeff Jarrett and his women hating thing is getting to be a little ridiculous. Now, who is going to be his opponent? Maybe he can put the figure four on Ryan Shamrock and Ken Shamrock will challenge him to a submission match. I thought this would be a good time to push Mr. Ass (who is actually growing on me).

The New Age Outlaws back together? If this turns into a HEEL version of D-X, I'm down with it. If it isn't, then WWF can just "suck it." X-Pac needs to get back into the D-X deal. His time with Kane has run stale. Kane is very over. Can you think how over he would be if X-Pac did turn on him?

Chris Jericho needs to challenge for the European belt from D-Lo Brown. Kane needs a title reign. When are they going to push Edge? When are they going to get rid of the hardcore belt and bring back the light heavyweight division?

What's up with Test, Shane and Stephanie McMahon? I suggest a Test AND Shane swerve here. Then, Edge can come and teach Shane had a "spear" is really done.

Well, I'm running long here so I will cut it off for now. I would appreciate your thoughts on my thoughts back. Thanks for reading what is on my mind.
