BLAH

Hi Rantsylvania fans. This is HITMAN383. Today I want to talk about Hulk Hogan. Many hate him, I think he's cool. I know, I know, you're going "what the fuck?"

But the fact is, the Hulkster Rules, brother. Before you judge it, let me begin:

(Assuming your 13 or older) when you where a kid and a mark who was the coolest? Hulk Hogan. Who can't look back at WrestleMania III in 1987, and just go "WOW" at seeing over 93,000 SUPER FANS packing in for Hogan and Andre? Name one person. That was the height of all wrestling. The height of the WWF. And the height of HULKAMANIA! When he slammed Andre the whole world knew it, and the 15 year streak came to an end. It was bigger than Steve Austin. WrestleMania V & VII's big buyrates, all had Hogan at the top, trying to overcome the odds.

Sure, I like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sure I have 5 SCSA shirts. Sure, I bought the toy "Smoking Skull Belt." Sure I have different SCSA action figures. I love him. But he never had the FEEL of Hogan. Steve Austin never got the "spectacle" in WrestleMania like Hulk Hogan (Or Bret Hart) did. When you look back, Hulk may not know a wrist lock from a wrist watch, but who cares? He's cool.

I'm not really talking the WCW Hogan. Not as much. I mean the WWF one. But in my mark days, even the DOD seamed fearsome, and I hoped Hogan could beat The Giant (Paul Wight.) He had every makings of a champion. I cried when Yokozuna beat him. I was sad at Bash at the Beach 1996 when the nWo formed.

But who built the WWF? Hulk Hogan. The first big revolution of the modern wrestling era was "Rock and Wrestling" and who was sitting at the top? Hulk Hogan. When WCW took over the ratings who was there? Hulk Hogan. Steve Austin doesn't compare in MY book.

You'll say: "He's Too Old." Well, let me ask you "casual" wrestling fan something: Your grandparents (or even your mom and dad) are old, right? Do you just stop liking (or loving) them? Do you toss them aside, forgetting all the joy they brought you? That's what society is starting to do to Hulk Hogan. I'm sick of it!

HULKAMANIA rules. It always will, even when Hulk Hogan's long gone. He'll be remembered 100 years from now.
