BLAH

...AND MARKING OUT

Hey all. Welcome to ...AMO. Please fasten your safety belts and check for the emergency exits, as this may be a rough ride. In case of turbulence, just puke.

Not much to say today, so I'll leave you with a quick 10 thoughts and catch everyone next week.

That being said, enjoy the ride! (or not)

10 Things I Think I Think

1. I think I still smell an Austin heel turn. Columns ago, I said: Vince and Austin do not get along. Ever. Period. Why would Vince give in to Austin's demands on SmackDown!? Why would he help Austin gain a title shot? Surely he wasn't truly afraid of Austin and I don't buy the simplicity of protecting his daughter. There's more going on here. Last night on RAW, Debra was introduced into the Rock/Austin conflict. McMahon said he had a plan. Austin and Vince have gotten along, for weeks now, relatively speaking. I hope Austin turns heel and joins Vince and company. I still remain confident that it is the only way the crowd will totally turn on him. Think about it. Austin turns heel at WrestleMania, "injures" the Rock (I think I've said this before too) and everything changes. Austin can them wrestle HHH (who is a very heelish tweener) and Angle, who he could be made face by feuding with a newly turned StoneCold. Overall, RAW had that "must see TV, anything can happen feel." Now if they could only produce that feeling of unpredictability and excitement every week.

2. I think one thing stands out after watching the opener of Nitro: Why can wrestlers book their own matches without commissionership authority or ownership? And if that's the case, can Lance Storm please book himself in the main event immediately?

3. I know its weeks late, but why the intense push for Rick Steiner? Let's see... Lazy. Manipulative. Old. Out of shape. Oh, that's right. Brother of unpredictable and explosive gassed-up champ. Friend of potential owner. It is all about who you know after all, isn't it?

4. I think Sean O'Haire's promo shows why he is a future star and worth every penny invested in him by WCW. His tone was extremely reminiscent of Kurt Angle. And who better to model yourself after if you're a relative newcomer? Booking him against Lex Luger is a mistake, BTW. Why put a promising rookie with a broomstick who won't sell? It's one thing to try to get him over offof Luger's heat, but Luger's lack of workrate could kill O'Haire's momentum just the same.

5. I think Dustin Rhodes sucks. Goldust was his 15 minutes of fame. And it's been over for a long, long time. Jeff Jarrett has better things to do than to make him look good.

6. I think...No. I know I will miss the King. I am, however, more than willing to give Paul Heyman a chance. His voice is really annoying, though. I'd give him a B-for his first effort. He can only get better.

7. I think that no one is happier with Kurt Angle's new level of intensity than I am. Intensity will add to his credibility. A credible, angry, over the edge Angle (ala Rick Steiner, but just an act) has tons more potential and possibilities than a comedic, vulnerable Angle. And I love his ankle-lock finisher.

8. I had originally stated and hoped for a Lita heel turn on the Hardyz, but having her relationship with Matt turn Jeff heel will work even better. One, it starts the anxiously awaited Jeff Hardy Singles career. Two, it keeps Matt from becoming a modern day Marty Jeanetty.

9. I think one of the stiffest moves I have seen on television in a long time was Big Show slamming Al Snow onto those six chairs. Ouch. Kudos to Snow for taking such an insane bump. Is he trying to get Foley to come out of retirement by taking daredevil risks?

10. Kudos to Nitro for finally getting the hint: Stopping the cameras in the middle of the action is infinitely more effective than starting the cameras in the middle of the action. Thanks to whoever. Knowing them, it was probably a mistake as well.

That's all I have time for today folks. Hope you enjoyed your ride on ...AMO. Please move slowly to the front exit and thanks for reading. Ya'll come again soon now, ya'hear?
