WHATCHOO GONNA DO?

I think I'd rebuild the 4 Horsemen angle with big name stars. Guys like, I don't know, Barry Windham, Curt Hennig, Bobby Duncam, and Dustin Rhodes. Have Flair do a godfather type role or something.... - "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan from WCW LIVE

Blech...... - ME

You want to know why WCW's product is about as uneven as a broken down patch of blacktop in the August heat? That comment from Hogan is a prime example. Oh, wait, you didn't realize Hogan was even back in WCW? Oh yes my friend, he's back. He's the champ again, and he equals ratings.

Just ask him, he'll tell you.

I mean we're all just saps right? We don't know what we really want from a wrestling program. We don't know what entertains us. Hollywood does though. Oh yes Hollywood knows the cure for all WCW's ills.

He taught Vince McMahon everthing he knows.

He knew that the Master P angle would suck.

He is still what wrestling fans are looking for. Spraypainted beard and all. He's a hardcore character and he's giving us what we want.

Just ask him, he'll tell you.

And we wonder why WCW is a one hundred percent, unadulterated, clusterfuck of enormous proportions. Gee, let's think about this for a second. If my wrestling promotion is running a distant second in the ratings war, if my company is getting its collective ass kicked weekly by a much hipper, younger, and exciting organization how can I possibly fix it? How about developing the highly regarded mid-card talent that we already have in our roster. You know the guys, the ones that steal the show on every Nitro or PPV we broadcast. Or maybe we could re-emphasize the cruiserweight division again. After all that's the one area that we clearly are more dominant than our competitors. Or hey, maybe we could hire some writers to build some decent storylines for our fans to sink their teeth into. Nah, I think we'll just put the strap back on a balding 46 year old that can't work, and put him in a program with a champ that fans have been ice cold too thus far. Yeah that'll work.

What?????!!!

How in the hell did WCW arrive at this decision? If in 1999 Hulk Hogan is your savior then you'd better just consider yourself damned, and sit tight, put your head between your knees and wait for judgement day. Sure, fans will tune in for a week or two to see nostalgia at its finest. Hogan as the babyface. Hogan hulking up and fighting all comers. Then they'll realize they all saw this back in 1985 and flip the channel right back to the WWF and stay there again until WCW can figure out something else to humor them with.

Hogan is a testament to what WCW has become. A home for aging ego maniacs of the squared circle. A place where egos reign supreme. A place where wrestlers refuse to JOB. A place where you can only get a push after shooting on their internet radio show. A place where run ins have to be booked creatively in order for everyone to save face and avoiding putting someone over strongly. WCW a fine place to work and play. A clusterfuck of a wrestling organization.

But hey, Hogan will save us all!

Just ask him, he'll tell you.
