BLAH

I get Letters!

Well, no, not really. Maybe someday I will in fact get over, but alas. Oh well. Since my Fully Loaded recap didn't generate a whole lot of hate mail, I figured I would take pen to paper about something that has been bothering me for a while. Bothering may not be the right word, since I guess these are interested observations. Anyway, I will get to the damn point.

Have you noticed just how similar wrestling is to pornography? I realize all the mainstream losers love to make this claim, as one more way that wrestling is destroying America's youth. But after thinking about it, that claim actually has some validity to it.

This idea started to brew a few months back when I was watching some shitty Playboy type softcore. This guy was fucking a chick, BADLY! I mean she was bored to tears. I began to laugh, and think to myself "She is not selling that worth a damn." The seed had been planted and would grow to become a massive tree of an argument.

  • 1. Both have two or more participants.

This is a given. But in both cases, more than two participants make it a big deal. The big triple threat on RAW, and the massive three way lesbian scene. This is a minor point, so it's the first one I make.

  • 2. Both require flexibility from participants.

Flexibility refers here to more than the literal. It also encompasses the creativity and ability to work with others. Just like Kane has to prepare to work with the Undertaker, along with Austin, Dumb-ass Billy Gunn, or any other person that has ever worn the tights, a porn star has to find a way to keep what essentially can be done with 3 movements new, interesting, and exciting, and anyone who has seen a tape where the actress/actor has failed to do this will tell you how important it is. The same way we can tell a bad wrestling match. Also, this comes into the "she sells well" comment. If a wrestling match doesn't look real, or looks lazy, then the match will suck. At the same time, if sticking a dick into an orifice looks boring, and the recipient is disinterested, then the session will suck.

  • 3. Most material is viewed on tape.

This one speaks for itself. But fans of both wrestling and porno keep tapes on their favorite (ahem) performances. Not only that but a lot of both types are tough to track down. Wrestling fans have it easy in this regard, since we can ask our friends for their tapes. Just try to ask anyone to borrow their porno. Not gonna happen. So the porno fan has to bite the bullet and go to the bad side of town to get his tapes, paying as much as 60 dollars (I live here in Tennessee, the Bible thumpers make it hard) for a tape.

  • 4. Fans of both are looked down upon.

This is the point that all of us should pay the most heed. Wrestling fans have always been seen as losers with no lives who live to watch grown men pretend to beat the hell out of each other. We live in trailers, we can't have a complete thought, never mind write a complete sentence. Of course, the massive influx of Internet writers says differently. Porno fans are seen as dirty, degenerates who sit around all day masturbating and plotting their next rape. Actually, a lot of those descriptions can be inverted. The bottom line is that both groups of people are (for the most part) looked down upon by the masses for doing what is legal and harmless to all involved.

I had more arguments, but I had lost them somewhere along the way. Anyway, that's all I have for now. Drop me a line and let me know what you think.
