Killing time this week, I've been doing what I'm surea lot of people do when they kill time...thinking about La Parka, and his total lack of push. (You don't? See if "ways WCW has screwed up" works for ya instead.) It was during a break at the retail plant nursery store I have the misfortune to be working at this summer when I came up with, what I think is, a killer angle to get La Parka and the cruiserweight division going once again. Since the odds of WCW using it are zero, I've only bother to detail how the intital angle would play out...I've thought of ideas for things after, but nothing too solid

Read and enjoy...or dislike, if it suits you.

Prelude

Leading into Fall Brawl, I'd book an 8 man to resolve at least part of the Konnan/Vampiro fued: Konnan/Kidman/Rey/Eddy vs ICP/Vampiro/Raven. Enough good workers in there so we don't have to see ICP that much, and might even get a good match out of it. The only reason I'm even concerned with this match is to get that Cruiser trio out of the fued to free them up. I'd book Vamp over Konnan, making it a personal issue between the two. ICP can hang out with Vamp, or go FAR FAR AWAY, and Raven can do whatever he feels like. (A fued with Saturn would work...)

Meanwhile, over on WCWSN (or Thunder, if needed or possible), I'd book another, low-level angle to start setting up some of the secondary fueds that will be involved. It's not necessary that these get done before Road Wild, but they must be shown before we get to far into the angle, in order to explain who's with who.

  • Week 1: In a slight upset, Blitzkreig pins La Parka. Parka's unhappy about the loss...

  • Week 2: In a much bigger upset, Blitz pins Juvie. This time, Parka decides to attack Blitz after the match, and Juvie joins in, forming an alliance. (If desired, 2 face, low level, Crusierweights can run in and make the save, setting up a tag match that Juvie and Parka win, to start showing that they're a good team. Not needed, though.)

  • Week 3: Blitz faces Psicosis in a very close match, but Juvie and Parka interfere, giving Psi the win. Parka and Juvie with another short beatdown, but Psi runs back out and Parka and Juvie back off. Then, Psi turns on Blitz, and all three beat him down. The trio is regarded as team, though without a name, and not wearing any specific T-Shirts you may be thinking about, YET.

    Stage 1

In Between Road Wild and Fall Brawl.

The Nitro Right After RW: After an inconsquental match with Rey, Kidman and Eddie involved (tag match with one watching, or whatever...not involving our other faction), Rey thanks Eddie and Kidman for backing him and Konnan up at Road Wild, and offers them both a Cruiserweight shot the next week, in a triangle match. Eddie and Kidman both accept.

    The following Thunder

Rey and Eddie are in a tag match against Parka and Juvie (Kidman and Psi may cancel each other out at ringside.) Late in the match, with Parka otherwise out of it, Juvie grabs Rey in a full nelson, and holds him...for Eddie to hit! Eddie pauses, then hits Juvie (or did Rey duck?). Rey manages to get a 'rana for the win shortly after, but everyone really confused about what that spot was about (except Kidman and Rey, who in grand WCW babyface tradition, didn't realize it and won't be watching the replay...missing this next bit as well.)

Later during the show (or, WCWSN if we want to make sure no one gets the angle ;) ), Juvie/Psi/Parka confront Eddie, with Juvie doing the English speaking. The gist is, they're wondering why Eddie's no longer following the plan EDDIE told them when he came back...to set Rey up and then turn on him. Eddie says he's been having second thoughts, and he wants to do things the right way, and other typical face cliches. The trio lets him need him back the way he was, to lead the lWo back from the dead, and that he better start followin the plan on Monday. (That's our first mention of what's really going on...everything before are just hints...)

    The following Nitro

The Cruiser three way happens, with Eddie hinting at turning heel all along. Late, the Trio arrive, with Psi distracting the ref while Juvie (Juvie Driver->Rey) and Parka (Powerbomb->Kidman take out the other two, giving Eddie the oppurtinty to win. Eddie goes to the rope for the frog splash, as the announcers talk about Eddie obviously going back to the dark side of the force...but Eddie doesn't do the Frog Splash...he simply hops off the top and walks out, with the Trio yelling at him and Eddie brushing them off. Back in the ring, Rey and Kidman battle for a couple more minutes, before Kidman pins Rey and wins the Cruiserweight Title.

Either later on that Nitro, or "taped after Nitro" and played on Thunder:

Eddie talks to Mene Gene as he's leaving the arena, saying that he's got to figure out what he wants to do with his career and stick with it...either go with the fans or go with the lWo, and he's going take a week of to figure it all out. On Thunder, Rey and Kidman do their own interview, not sure if they can really trust Eddie, now that know he was planning to stab both of them in the back and all.

Nitro #3 of the PPV month

Chavo Guerrero is actually the squasher (instead of the squashee) in a first hour match, for a change. As the match ends, Eddie walks out. As Chavo is announced as winner, Eddie takes the mic and apologizes to Chavo for the way he's treated him, and he's going try to be better now. Chavo forgives him, but Rey and Kidman break up the family reunion, saying that despite what Eddie's doing, they don't trust him anymore. Eddie says the only way to prove to them what side he's on is to show them, and take out the trio he created, and asks Rey and Chavo for their help (Kidman having a C Title defense, which I'll get to in a bit.) Chavo agrees, but Rey isn't sure about Eddie, so he's not going say yes yet.

    Thunder #3

Rey and Kidman take on Parka and Juvie...Psi interferes, so Eddie quickly runs out and makes the save. Rey's still not totally convinced.

Psi and Blitz have a #1 contenders to the Cruiserweight Title, with the winner to get a shot at Fall Brawl...Juvie and Parka interfere in this one, but Eddie runs out again, and helps Blitz get the win. This kinda convinces Rey more, since if Eddie was still with the Trio, he just kinda really screwed them. (You could throw in a Eddie/Blitz beating after the match, for effect.)

    Nitro #4

Tag match with Rey and Chavo teaming up, with the idea that Rey's not 100% sure he wants the match yet, but wants to be ready if he does go for it. Peferbaly against someone not involved in this angle, just to mix up the matchups a little bit. The West Texas Rednecks would work best, as it'd give reason for Eddie to make yet another save...and this time, Rey decides to go with the match, warning Eddie that if he turns on Rey, he's going be hurt.

    Thunder #4...nothing needed here.

I'm assuming four weeks between PPV. If not, I'd adjust the events approiatly...

    Fall Brawl

Kidman and Blitz have a good match, but Kidman gets a clean win. Just building Blitz up to a level more even with everyone else...

Rey/Chavo/Eddie vs Psi/Parka/Juvie. Pretty much what'd you expect, until the angle kicks in at the end of the match: Eddie and Rey miscommuncate, barely get it back together...only for CHAVO to turn on both of them! The Trio, who have now grabbed LWO shirts from someplace at ringside, lay out Rey and Eddie, then Kidman when he tries to make the save. (Throw in Blitz, Konnan, and anyone else if we want to make a bigger impact.) Chavo says that Eddie was the source of all his problems, that Eddie never gave him a shot in the orginal lWo, and that this time, he's leading it...

(If you've made it this far, you've made it as far as I have, detail wise. We'll breeze through the rest, m'kay?)

    Post Fall Brawl-Pre Hallowen Havoc

Chavo wins the Cruiserweight gold from a hurt Kidman, which leads to

    Halloween Havoc

Chavo vs Kidman, re-match - Chavo CHEATS TO WIN! Eddie/Rey vs Juvie/Parka - Eddie/Rey (Maybe Blitz vs Psi - Psi, since Blitz got the last one. )

    WW3

Chavo vs Eddie - Eddie barely manges to win. Rey/Kidman vs Juvie/Parka - Juvie/Parka, to counter balance (Maybe: Psi vs Blitz, cage match, to blow that part of the fued off, with Psi winning.)

    Starrcade

Chavo vs Eddie - Chavo finnaly beats his Uncle Rey vs Juvie - Depending on how things are going, I'd think about starting here either Juvie turning face, Rey turning heel or both. (Psi vs Blitz could work, if we didn't do it last month. If we did, Psi over Kidman, as we set up Psi for a Cruiser title reign down the road, maybe turning on Chavo.)

Only the first two matches per card are needed, really, as the others could be played on TV, and getting WCW to put 2 Cruiserweight matches on a PPV may be pushing it at that...

So...would any of you want to see it? I'm obviously kinda in love with the whole "Chavo leads the new LWO" part, but after that, I ain't too sure.
