Opening Statements

Well it's the end of the week, hello to the few who read this. I'm CR. I thought to myself as of late I'd take dibs on a few things that I wrote, but scrapped. For example, I once wrote ABC's The Wrestling View, it was a parody of The View, only through wrestling, durhey. So that might show up on -slash- in coming weeks. But other than that, this hard hitting piece of writing will talk a bit out XFL, Mick Foley on 20/20, and anything else that comes to mind. I wonder if it has to be about wrestling?

-XFL (XFL, McMahon has said stands for nothing but XFL-

This will be "100% Sport" according to Vince McMahon, so this really has nothing to do with sports entertainement. So the following will not occur:

  • JR screaming up in the booth, and QB HOTSHOT HENSON JUST GOT POWERBOMBED!!
  • Chairs being allowed into play
  • Scantily clad women for halftime shows (maybe you will actually)

You will see though, what Oliver Stone presents in the movie: Any Given Sunday. I haven't seen it, I saw HBO interview him. They have cameras in the huddles, on the field, on the sidelines, you can hear the coaches, and of course in the movie you see what's going on in the lockeroom, Stone said. McMahon says, that's exactly what XFL will have.

Fox and CBS/Viacom are still trying to bid for some WWFE shows, I hope Fox is smart and tries to get XFL programming next year.

I also thought about writing a XFL-Sports Entertainment parody, of how it might be with WWF attitude in full force. I figured I'll let someone funnier handle that, like Mr. JF.

    -Mankind on 20/20-

I can't wait to see Beyond the Mat first off, it looks like a good piece of documentary. As a big Mick Foley fan, I can really say that if Mick said goodbye to Wrestling I wouldn't mind. He's known by everyone as a great person, and I wouldn't want a hero of mine to cripple himself permanently to a wheel chair just so I can see a real cool visual and go home happy. I've gone home happy enough times, to say Mick has done more then enough for the fans, and will always be remembered. I talk like he's retired, he's not. He loves wrestling, and I can only guess that it'd be hard for someone like Mick to say goodbye to what's been his life, and his dearest fans.

    Other Stuff

Listened to CRZ, when the link came up here. He sounds just like Paul Wight, it was uncanny. Not that it matters but the host sounds just like another host of the wrestling radio show Between the Ropes.

Sabu is dipping the pen into the ink to sign onto WCW. Where most likely he'll be misused, toned-down, and jipped by Sullivan in booking and pushing. What gets me is who ECW is going to push in, to fill these voids, that are on the shelf, gone, or leaving.

Check out ScoopThis (I command You!), the call to Titan Towers struck my funny bone. And hey mail me, and I'll place it in the column in "CR Checked His Mail Server"...Maybe if I ask a question for you guys to respond too will help.

How would you bring WCW out of this funk? Have full answers, detail, too all their current problems. Come on Know it Alls I dare you. How would I? I don't care, CRZ hit the nail on the coffin on The EDGE about WCW, and their errors. A lot of people including me, just don't care anymore, it's so bad you can't sympathize with them, for putting themselves in that position.
