A THUMB IN THE EYE

First of all let me apoplogize to my dozens and dozens of fans out their. Computer gremlins struck last week. Thanks to everyone for reading this and props to CRZ. A quick non wrestling thumb in the eye to the jobbers at my house that can't run a VCR. All right, time to get busy.

Looks like the fine folks at ECW have finally done something for me to go what about. Why is Taz going to the WWF ? Money and fame I guess. I will not hold that against him seeing how getting into the WWF or WCW is a great accomplishment. But why drop the strap to Mike Awesome ? There are so many better choices and I don't think I have to name names here. I wish Taz the best of luck in the WWF. I just hope they don't waste his talents. Out of all the world champs at this point in time, I always thought he was the most believable. Props to Taz and a poke to ECW. Give us a champ that deserves it. RVD, Sabu. Hint, hint.

Please no more matches between RVD and Jerry Lynn. They do put on some great matches, but this feud has been going on long enough. You will be receiving the whole FN' thumb in the eye if I see these guys wrestling against each other again.

Right on, it's the Brooklyn Brawler. Sorry it always makes me laugh when I see this guy. Remember when he thought he was as tough as Austin. And wanted to hang out with him. And what did he get for all this. Nothing but socked up by the rattlesnake. Now that's funny. It's great to see some of the throwbacks of the eighties.

I see that saving proof of purchase points has finally paid off for Mideon. He finally got his White Trash Avenger costume. Now if only Viscera would wrestle in a moo moo. Seeing these two doing the job for the Undertaker all the time is completely stale. I thought the Ministry of Darkness gimmick was done. And if that's the case then these two should go back to the all you can eat buffet and stay out of the ring. So here's a couple of thumbs and a trial membership for Weight Watchers.

Why is the IC champ always involved in some crappy angle or just a straight up crappy wrestler. Jeff Jarrett has become one of the greatest piles in wrestling. The Andy Kauffman angle is a crock. I want to see belt holders wrestle legitimate contenders. Not beat up old ladies, hot looking females, and chicks that could have been dudes. Just give the belt to Jericho and bury this angle for good. I know it's the WWF and anything is possible, but there is a difference between believable and stupid. They are just filling space. If it wasn't for Debra, I think no one would really care about JJ. It's like the Godfather and his ladies. Maybe Chyna will beat him at Unforgiven. I think she's more of a man than he is anyway. So until he loses the belt, I prescribe two thumbs in the eye, three times a day on a full stomach.

Why do I keep waiting for the Bee Gees to start singing during Steve Blackmans' intro music. It sounds quite a bit like that song Hand Jive. Maybe it's just me.

At this point in my normal column I would start bagging on WCW. Well that is not exactly how it is going to go this time. I've got some things to say about them, but I'm not doing it in my usual fashion. I consider myself to be a fan of all wrestling. Somebody once gave me like twenty hours of female wrestling from Japan. (they originally thought it was porn ha ha ha) I watched all of it. Why, because I love to watch wrestling. So why did I have to watch most of WCW on fast forward this week ? Because I have lost any and all interest in what's going on there. I know that I have the attention span of a three year old. But it just seems like something is missing. They insult us with bad angles, all of the really good matches never have an ending, and they are always pushing the wrong people. It has become a chore for me to watch it. I saw a video tape yesterday that was called WCW Greatest Grudges. After looking over the matches in this tape I almost started to cry. Greg Valentine vs. Piper in a dog collar match, the I Quit match between Magnum T.A. and Tully Blanchard. Those were the days. I know this is a constantly changing business, but isn't it supposed to be changing for the good. I know I'll be watching it again on Monday, so please try to make it a little easier for me to digest. I'd give you the chair beating of the week, but your ratings show that you have already received one from someone else.

Thank you once again for taking the time to read this. And I will try to build up my tolerance level by Monday. A quick shout out to my friends, foes, and the Godfathers' Ho's. And to CRZ.

Keep it real,
Ronnie Cox
