THE RADICAL'S TUESDAY FEELINGS

Hello, welcome, once more to my tuesday night column! Last week I presented to you my fascinating idea of Chris Jericho being the driver.....and you'd be surprised at how many people dug what I said. Case in point....

Jericho with an angle?
Are you kidding me?
Vince would *never* let this happen.

True, it would kick a lot of ass, but still, we must bury Jericho.
Does it make sense? No, but I just can't see Y2J with a legit angle.
I'd *love* it, but the guy gets no respect.

Let's just have him job to X-Pac and the likes, while he gets the
second biggest face pop of the night... Yeah.

Can't understand it. Won't even try to.

The idea rocks, but someone in Stanford hates the guy.
He's the Conspiracy Victim version 2K.

I love your e-mail address, by the way.

-Jason

And BIG props to fellow columnist for giving me some respect....of course, there was some negative press, but hey, they can go [Insert Austin phrase here].

Boy, I sure got an attitude quick, huh?

Anyway, onto this week's thoughts, seeing as it is, y'know, this week. I would go with the flow and speculate on the whole "Who's buying WCW?" thing, but to be honest it doesn't interest me in the slightest. I mean, if it's Vince then WCW is basically canned, if not we get another year of excruciatingly bad TV until there's ANOTHER takeover. But maybe that's just me being bitter.

So instead this week I thought I'd just share some thoughts on some of the other issues that arose from last night's TV....

I know I just tore Russo a new exithole up there but the past couple of Aussie Nitros have been.....entertaining, is the word, I think, I'm just not used to using it next to the WCW initials. Jeff Jarrett's "Old Sting" routine has really cracked me up, there's been some CRIMINALLY good wrestling (with the exception of Scott Steiner's squashings)and the whole thing has generally just flowed nicely. Maybe we should threaten the company's existance every week...Oh, and Stevie Ray is the MAN on commentary.

One word on last night's RAW.....ich. It got off to a promising enough start with Guerrero/Jericho, but as soon as Eddie landed on his head I knew it was gonna be one of those nights. Good wrestling, sure, but it just seemed to be there, with no real forward motion or anything. And why the HELL was Regal/Snow not saved for Sunday? Are they mad?

In an interesting thought.....remember when Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart won the tag titles from Bossman and Shamrock after a run-in from the "Black and Blue Blazer"? Am I being INCREDIBLY dumb here by suggesting that the Blazer was not Koko B. Ware but was, in fact, MARK HENRY, who was shown before the match hitting on Debra and thus would be immediately connected to the whole shebang? I seem to recall this mystery guy having rather large breasts, not unlike the World's Strongest Sex Addict. Someone prove me wrong....I DARE ya.

Why, why, why are they BURYING Tazz and Raven? Both guys are talented, Tazz was JUST getting over, and Raven started off....okay. So why relegate them to the little league show? Push them, for Chritst's sakes, it's not rocket science. Tazz was getting over and Raven wasn't even given the proper chance. Someone listen!!

I can live without seeing Eddie Guerrero gimp his way through a match with Mr. Ass this Sunday. I really hope this injury isn't serious-I love Eddie's new persona and I really think he could help Billy Gunn get over. Shit, I sounded like JR just then. And while I'm on this Sunday, is anyone else pissed off that Austin/Rikishi is at the top of the card? Everyone knows it's gonna suck, it's only just materialised over the past week, while Rock and Angle has been brewing for months, plus if this is Angle's big day then it will be totally overshadowed by Austin's return. And again I say-WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH RIKISHI? Last week he was the meek cousin who, although running Austin down, wouldn't say boo to a goose, and now he's a vicious heel who tries to run Austin down again? Not to mention the fact that this time Rikishi SURELY would have been arrested this time around, even though he hasn't been arrested for the last time despite admitting it. I need a drink.

Right, I'm back....and I've run out of things to say. Well, after that spirited rant I'd like to apologise for the judicious use of the capslock button, and one last thing......while looking at wwf.com earlier, Edge and Christian are listed as the Tag Team Champions. Simple, no? Didn't update since Unforgiven? They did, though-the Hardy's pic was there last week-and they've already put up Regal's pic as European Champion. Maybe a little Freudian slip before this Sunday.....

Remember, gimme a shout at forthebenefitofthosewithflashphotography@hotmail.com. Oh, and if anyone has a good idea for a name for this column, let me know. "The Radical" really does suck. I'll be back later this week for No Mercy predictions....
