WCW LOCKDOWN
Week 4

WELCOME BACK to the world of LockDown! Well, Hell, I know there wasn't exactly a lot of people following it in the first place, but hey, you just can't give up trying. After last week's abysmal showing by the guys in WCW I feel that a real alternative to the crapfest that is Nitro is needed. Why is everyone fantasy booking the WWF and ignoring WCW? Afraid of a challenge, are we? AHAHAHAHAHAHA...

Well, here we go with week four of LockDown. To catch up with weeks on, two and three respectively, I'm hoping that our lord and master CRZ will help some links materialise here, here and here. If not, then look them up yourselves, PEOPLE!

So first, I'll start with a little revision of the storylines when LockDown last graced the web.

General Rection was experiencing trouble with Mike Sanders and head honcho Miss Wright, who were refusing to take him seriously as a star. After threatening Sanders, rection is granted a match to decide the Television Champion, against an as-yet unnamed opponent, at SuperBrawl...Jeff Jarrett, Goldberg, Scott Steiner and Booker T have all advanced in the World Title Tournament-Jarrett will face Goldberg and Booker will take on Steiner in the semis at SuperBrawl, and the winners will face off later that night for the belt...Rumours abound about Goldberg's allegiances after several furtive meetings with Miss Wright, and Mike Sanders assisting the big man on more than one occasion...Ric Flair, liaison officer between Wright and the wrestlers, grows increasingly more frustrated with the new management, and vows to do something about it...Mike Awesome and Shane Douglas are through to the finals of the US Title Tournament-and Douglas has already taken the advantage, after injuring Awesome with a pair of steel-chair assisted piledrivers...Mike Sanders has managed to cheat his way into the Cruiserweight Title Final-his opponent will be decided tonight...Kronik and 3 Count-in a huge mismatch-will meet for the tag titles at SuperBrawl...Lance Storm has launched a campaign against the veterans in WCW, in particular the "washed-up" Insiders-he has already ut Kevin Nash on the shelf with a knee injury...Kanyon, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Allan Funk have naded together to form the Gentlemen's Club, a faction intent on getting ahead at any cost-and the Filthy Animals are the first to get in their way.

With that in mind...

Lockdown-Week Four

(A highlights package opens the show, with footage of Scott Steiner's match with Gen. Rection, and the altercations between Steiner, Mike Sanders, Ric Flair and Booker T.)

(Opening Credits)

(The fireworks shoot off and the announcers Stevie Ray, Mark Madden and Scott Hudson welcome everyone to the show, with the announcement of three big matches for tonight-Jeff Jarrett taking on General Rection, Scott Steiner facing Diamond Dallas Page and the Filthy Animals-Rey and Kidman taking on the newly named Gentlemen's Club-Kanyon & Bam Bam Bigelow. Mike Sanders' music hits and he makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. He climbs in the ring and takes a mic from ringside.)

Sanders: You people can boo me all you want, but the fact of the matter is that none of you are in a highly-paid, well-respected post, running a multi-million dollar wrestling company, and none of you people decide what happens here tonight! That task falls on my head and I tackle it with zeal. Now before all of you morons fire up any derogative chants, lemme tell you this-you are gonna have to start showing me the proper respect, or you will never see the matches that you wanna see again. I got all of you in the palm of my hand, just like each and every wrestler sitting in the back watching this.

(Crowd starts chanting "asshole", and Sanders smiles to himself.)

Sanders: Boy, you idiots aren't too bright, are ya? Where does pissing me off get any of your so-called heroes? Where does you chanting "asshole" get Booker T? Or Hugh Morrus? Or The Cat? I'll tell you where it gets them, it gets them a one-way ticket straight to Hell. You fans keep up with the attitude and that's what's gonna happen-each and every one of your role models will get their pink slip and be looking for work elsewhere, and believe me, I got no qualms about doing that. No qualms whatsoever. Now I think we got off on the wrong foot here tonight, what with me having to verbally warn you guys about getting too big for your boots, but I didn't come out here to bitch and whine at you for being a bunch of uneducated, idiotic, ugly slobs, no, I came out here to announce your main event for here tonight. Tonight, I have put together a blockbuster match, one that will have all of you on the edge of your seats, one that will pit two titans of this industry against each other. Tonight, fans, right here, live, you will get to see Bill Goldberg fight...Booker T. That's right, those two men will slug it out tonight in the ring, not for titles, not for money, but to see just who the better man out of those two is. Now onto this Sunday-

(Sanders is cut off, as Thus Spake Zarathustra hits and the fans cheer as Ric Flair walks out in Armani suit, a mic in hand. He lets the fans cheer after the music is cut, then slowly raises the mic to his mouth.)

Flair: Evansville, Indiana, whooo! Does it feel good to be standing here in front of you tonight. Nature Boy is in the house, here to tell it like it is and make some matches of his own and Sanders, you know I can so you can shut the Hell up and back that sawtop outta my way. Now I warned ya, Sanders, I warned you and your boss and Scott Steiner, I warned all of ya that I wasn't gonna stand for this crap any more. Three weeks ago the woman that sent you out here made a promise to clean this company up, to give everyone the chance, and to stop all the backstage politicking that's been ruining this great business for years. That ain't what she's doing, now, is it Sanders? No, that ain't what she's doing, and I know you are loving every minute of it. I had it up to here, Mike and I ain't gonna stand for it any more-from now on Nature Boy starts playing dirty, just like you. Now as for that match you just booked-well ya know what? That suits me down to the ground, that should be a great match between two professional, gifted guys. May the best man win. But while we're booking matches tonight I got a space on the card that needs filling and it seems to me like you haven't got anything doing tonight-no official business anyways. So tonight, Sanders, you will be fighting the Cat, one on one, whoo!

Sanders: Yeah, you have your fun, Flair, while you still can, because I guarantee you, this Sunday, we're taking this company away from you for good. One of our guys is walking out the champ and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.

Flair: Oh no, friend, that's where you are wrong. Now I know you got something planned for Steiner's big match with Booker this Sunday and I know it involves you skulking around at ringside. Well I made a few phone calls last night, I pulled a few strings, and I managed to secure myself a manager's licence, a manager's licence for one...Booker T. So this Sunday, Sanders, you ain't gonna be the only one watching your guy's back, and this Sunday, the Dirtiest Player in the game is gonna show you a few tricks, whoo!

(Flair's music hits again and he smiles, nodding his head slowly at Sanders, who is angrily shouting up the ramp...)

(Ad Break)

(When we come back, Sanders has left the ring and has taken up a headset with the commentators, to pass comment on...)

Cruiserweight Title Tournament Semifinal: Chavo Guerrero, Jr Vs. Devon Storm: Sanders immediately lays into Flair-and both men in the ring-as soon as he puts a headset on. Lockup to start, and Chavo gets an armwringer into a side headlock. Devon reverses into one of his own. Whip into the ropes, Devon going for a knee to the gut but Chavo turns it into a rollup, then rolls through and hits a clothesline. Devon up quickly, and he gets armdragged, but rolls through a second and turns it into a swinging neckbreaker. Irish whip, knee to Chavo's gut and he slumps in the corner, then Devon follows up with a dropkick to the face. Chavo rolling around in pain, and Devon hits a face-first legdrop for a two count. Chavo pulled to his feet, and Devon pulls him into a belly-to-back, but Chavo rolls off of his shoulder. Chavo into the ropes, but Devon sidesteps him and drop toe holds him, throat-first, into the second rope. Chavo to his feet, clutching his throat, and Devon does the Cactus clothesline, taking both men to the floor. Devon rolls back in and tries a pescado, but Chavo manages to dodge it-and hits a DDT on the floor! Devon seems to be on the edge of unconsciousness and Chavo whips him into the ringpost, then hits a belly-to-back on the floor. It only gets a two back in the ring, however, and Chavo seems annoyed. Bodyslam and springboard crossbody gets two. Devon still woozy, and Chavo stands him up and hits a dropkick, putting him back down. Irish whip, and Chavo pulls him into an inverted suplex as he rebounds out the corner. That gets a near fall, but Crowbar just keep kicking out. Chavo with the setup for the brainbuster, but Devon counters with a suplex of his own and nips up to his feet. Into the ropes, and going for a huracanrana, but Chavo hangs on and drops him across the top rope, hangman-style. That gets two from a rollup, and Chavo sets him up for a powerbomb, but Devon reverses it into a rana. Chavo dazed and caught off guard, and Devon steals Big Show's Final Cut for two. Devon to the top rope, but Chavo is up and he hits the Essa Rios armdrag to bring him back down. Devon to his feet and Chavo hits another springboard crossbody, but Devon rolls through for two. Chavo up quickly, and he runs into a tilt-o-whirl, but lands on his feet and kicks Devon in the gut, then capitalises with the brainbuster, getting the three count at 6:01. Sanders is immediately in with a punk-out for Chavo, hitting a low blow then the 3.0. He stomps Chavo-and Devon takes him down with an Edge-O-Matic! Sanders thrown to the floor by Devon-who helps Chavo to his feet. After a moment of mistrust, they shake hands-and Chavo shouts at Sanders "I'll see you on Sunday!".

(Cameras take us backstage, where Flair is seen talking to Booker T. No sound can be heard, but Booker s nodding at everything Flair says.)

Rey Misterio Jr/Kidman w/Konnan Vs. Kanyon/Bam Bam Bigelow w/Allan Funk: Filthy Animals enter last, and a pier six erupts, including Konnan and Funk going at it. It eventually settles down into Rey starting against Knayon, and Kanyon dominates with kicks and punches. Snapmare, and Kanyon dropkicks the back of Rey's head. Rey to his feet and he ducks a swing by Kanyon, then jumps on his back, trying for a sleeper, but Kanyon flings him down and tags Bam Bam in. Bam Bam misses a standing headbutt and Rey tags Kidman. He comes in with a dropkick, but runs at Bam Bam and gets caught with a sidewalk slam, as Kanyon comes in and puts the exclamation point on the move with a legdrop. It gets two. Irish whip, and Bam Bam crushes Kidman in the corner, then whips him into a belly-to-belly from Kanyon. The referee finally gets Kanyon back on the apron as Bam Bam bodyslams Kidman and hits a big elbow for two. Kidman sat up top and Bam Bam looks to be going for a superplex, but Kidman manages to shove him down. He goes for a super sunset flip, but Bam Bam won't go down-until Rey hits a missile dropkick, sending him falling backwards. it gets two for Kidman, but Bam Bam knocks him down with a clothesline straight afterwards. Tag to Kanyon, who comes in with a top rope back elbow, then pulls Kidman to his feet and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Kidman sent into the ropes, and Funk trips him, then Kanyon hits a leg lariat for two. Konnan goes after Funk on the outside, and as the ref tries to separate them Kanyon drop toe holds Kidman, then Bam Bam comes in with a big splash. It gets two for Kanyon. Kanyon with a European uppercut and a tag to Bam Bam, who headbutts Kidman down then hits a legdrop for two. Bodyslam, and Bam Bam comes off the ropes, but Konnan grabs his leg, holding him in place, and Rey hits a springboard dropkick to the side of Bam Bam's head! Funk is round to punk out Konnan, and Kidman gets a fluke rollup for two. Bam Bam goes to knock him down but Kidman ducks and makes the tag to Rey, who comes in with a slingshot rana on Bam Bam! Kanyon tags himself in, and all Hell breaks loose as all four men fight. Kidman sends Bam Bam into Kanyon and bulldogs him down as Kanyon slumps to the mat. Bam Bam rolls out of the way of an elbowdrop from Kidman, but Konnan grabs his leg and pulls him to the floor. Kidman follows with a pescado, and Konnan, Funk, Bam Bam and Kidman brawl on the floor. Rey, meanwhile, heads up to the top rope and delivers a rana rolup as Kanyon gets to his feet, getting the three count at 5:24. Rey runs quickly as Bam Bam slides in the ring, and Konnan, Kidman and Rey run up the ramp, slapping each other high fives as they go...

(Ad Break)

(When we come back from the break, the announcers tell us that after the last match, a six man elimination tag match has been made for SuperBrawl on Sunday-the Filthy Animals will face the Gentleman's Club.)

The Cat w/Miss Jones Vs. Mike Sanders: Cat enters first, dancing to his music. Sanders walks slowly down the ramp, wearing taped fists that look suspiciously hardened. Sanders walks around the ring before entering, then slides in and ducks a Cat spinning backhand. A left from Sanders staggers Cat incredibly, sending Stevie Ray off into a tirade about Sanders fixing his fists. Sanders pounds Cat in the corner with lefts and rights, then snapmares him out and dropkicks the back of Cat's head for two. Two snapmares by Sanders, then a second rope back elbow, but Cat catches him in midair and drops him on his head with a belly-to-back. Sanders up slowly, and he catches Cat's foot on a kick attempt, but Cat hits an enzuiguri for two-then dances. Sanders to his feet and Cat swings at him, but Sanders ducks and knees Cat in the gut, then hits a butterfly suplex, which gets two. DDT, a pair of legdrops, then an elbow, and Sanders climbs to the top-but Miss Jones yanks him down, and Sanders cracks his head on the apron. Sanders dazed, and he shoves Miss Jones down, then starts backing up the ramp, intent on taking a countout loss-but General Rection appears at the top of the ramp. He backs Sanders down to the ring, then muscles him in-where he falls prey to a double arm DDT from the Cat. Cat dances, then comes off the ropes as Sanders gets to his feet, hitting the Feliner for the three count at 3:43. Cat tosses Sanders out of the ring, and he and Miss Jones dance-and Rection slides in the ring. Cat stops the music-and invites Rection to join in! After a pause, Rection starts busting a move with cat and Miss Jones, until Sanders breaks up the party with a mic at ringside.

Sanders: You think it's funny to cost me a match, laughing man? You and your pal Cat, sitting back there having a giggle with Ric Flair later? Well I think I just fund your opponent for your TV Title Match at SuperBrawl on Sunday. Yeah-you two idiots can hook it up yourselves this Sunday, and if you don't, then you're suspended. As you used to say, Cat, I have spoken.

(Sanders tosses the mic down and his music plays, as a Hugh Morrus-like grin spreads across Rection's face and he nods slowly, and Cat shouts insults at Sanders as he leaves...)

(SuperBrawl promo.)

The Jung Dragons Vs. Knoble And Karagias: Madden tells us that this match was made by Sanders to showcase the great yung cruiserweight talent in WCW-and Hudson promptly shoots that down by saying Sanders simply wants to keep these guys busy with each other while "his boys" go to the top of WCW. Kaz starts with Evan-lockup, and they exchange hammerlocks and headscissors, then Kaz backs Evan into the corner and gets a rollup for two. Both men spring away from each other and circle, then go for a lockup again, and Evan gets a waistlock, but Kaz reverses and hits a straightjacket suplex! Knoble runs in and takes a Japanese armdrag from Kaz, and both Americans roll to the floor to recuperate. They don't have much time to rest, however, as Kaz and Yang hit stereo springboard planchas on them! The fans applaud as the Dragons celebrate, then toss their opponents back in the ring. Kaz whips Evan across the ring and drop toe holds him into the second rope, and Yang comes in with a straddle. Yang goes for an armdrag as Evan staggers out into the middle of the ring, but Evan flips through and nails a DDT, then makes the tag to Knoble. Yang runs at him and gets powerslammed for two, then a dropkick gets two. Snap suplex, and a tag to Karagias, who comes in with a top rope back elbow for two. Irish whip on Yang, but he pumphandles out, but Evan catches him on his shoulder and hits a running powerslam. Going up for a moonsault, but Kaz shakes the ropes and Evan crotches himself. Yang goes up to superplex him down, but Evan turns it into a front suplex off the second rope! He makes the tag and Knoble comes in, just preventing Yang from making the tag. Dragon screw legwhip, and Knoble shoves Kaz. The ref holds Kaz back-and Evan hits a 450 splash on Yang behind the ref's back! Knoble covers, but the ref stops the count as Yang has his foot on the bottom rope. Tag to Evan, who comes in with a slingshot legdrop. Irish whip, but Yang sits on the top turnbuckle and Evan hits his head on the ringpost as he charges. Yang drags him to the second turnbuckle and they slug it out, and Evan clobbers him with a forearm to the face. Evan climbs up and signals for a top rope rana-but Yang reverses it into a top rope powerbomb! Both men down, as the crowd begins to rally behind Yang. Hot tag on both sides, and Kaz cleans house on both his opponents. Rana for Knoble as he runs in, and a springboard neckbreaker on Evan. Yang back up and they hits stereo dropkicks on both sides of Evan's head, then Kaz hits a Tajiriesqe kick combo on him. Knoble runs in and knocks Kaz to the floor, then hits a spinebuster on Yang. Evan, meanwhile, has rolled to the floor and Kaz is pounding on him. He sends Evan into the ringsteps as Knoble tosses Yang to the floor on the other side of the ring-and Kaz comes in with an amazing springboard tornado DDT on Knoble! That's enough to get the three count at 10:14. All four men are down as the crowd gives them a standing ovation...

(When we come back, Disco Inferno is standing with Shane Douglas, one of the finalists for the US Title.)

Disco: Shane, this Sunday you've got a chance to step u the ladder and grab the gold, becoming the WCW US Champ. Last week we saw ya put a hurtin' on you ropponenet, Mike Awesome. Now tonight you're tagging with Three Count to take on Awesome and Kronik in a six man. You got any thoughts on that?

Douglas: Awesome, last week you learnt a lesson about being marked by the Franchise, and it's quite simple, boy, it ain't personal-it's about winning that US strap come this Sunday. But Hell, if I can rid this company of your goofy ass in the process, then maybe I should carry on with what I'm doing. I'm a precision instrument, Awesome-your neck, that was just the start. And I'm gonna focus in on that neck, I'm gonna pound it, I'm gonna snap, until you can't take anymore. And then you'll know what it's like to get your ass-haha-Franchised, bitch.

Disco: And, uh, what are your thoughts on your partners tonight?

Douglas: Three Count? Let's just say I've imparted some of my knowledge to them.

Shane Douglas/Three Count Vs. Mike Awesome/Kronik: As Douglas makes his way to the ring clips are shown of his assault on Awesome from the previous week, and the announcers tell us that Awesome has a stinger down his left arm due to the attack. Awesome enters last, clutching his arm to chest. Pier six to start, but it settles down to Douglas taking on Brian Adams. They slug it out, and Adams tries for an Irish whip, but Douglas reverses it and hits a clothesline into a bulldog to follow up. Three elbowdrops, and he tags in Shane Helms. He runs at Adams, going for a leg lariat, but Adams catches him and slams him on his back, then tags Clarke. Elbow drop attempt, but Helms rolls out of the way and legdrops the back of Clarke's head. He gets straight back up, however, and Helms runs out of the ring. Clarke gives chase, but Helms has tagged Douglas and knocks Clarke down as soon as he enters the ring. Clarke whipped into the ropes, and Douglas slugs him in the gut and hits a DDT. Tag to Moore and Douglas kicks Clarke in the gut, then Moore comes off the rope with the ShowStopper (fameasser). It gets two, and Moore whips Clarke across the ring and drop toe holds him, then Helms legdrops him across the second rope. Tag to Douglas, who gets a swinging neckbreaker on Clarke for two. Irish whip, but Clarke runs out of the corner with a clothesline, knocking Douglas down, and he makes the tag to Awesome, to a big pop. Awesome in with right hands, still holding his left arm to his chest, then hitting Douglas with a big boot as he staggers out of the corner. That gets two, and Helms breaks it up with a slingshot legdrop. Three Count come in and hit a double team armdrag on Awesome-then scatter as Kronik enter the ring! They follow Three Count to the floor as the ref tries to split them up-and Douglas slips a chain on his left hand. He swings at Awesome-who ducks, kicks Douglas low, and hits a one-armed Awesome Bomb! He hooks a leg and covers as the ref rolls back in and counts the three at 4:30. Awesome gets his good arm raised as Kronik continue to decimate Three Count on the outside-and Douglas clobbers Awesome from behind with the chain. He spikes Awesome with another piledriver, and looks set to deliver another, but Kronik climb in the ring and chase him off. The Franchise and Three Count regroup on the ramp and smile as Douglas' music plays...

(The cameras cut backstage, where we see Flair hammering on Goldberg's locker room door.)

Flair: Bill! Bill! Come on, open up! Dammit Bill, we need to talk about that match tonight! Open up!

(There is no answer, and the cameras cut to the car park, where Awesome is being helped into an ambulance to have his arm checked out. Stevie Ray promises that he knows Awesome, and if he's breathing, he'll be there for his match on Sunday. The cameras cut back to the arena.)

Gen. Rection Vs. Jeff Jarrett: Jarrett enters last, and Rection meets him on the ramp, going for a clothesline. Jarrett ducks and hits Rection in the gut, then throws him head first into the security barrier. Jarrett drags Rection back to the ring and tries to whip Rection into the steps, but Rection reverses and clotheslines Jarrett down on the rebound-causing Jarrett to crack the back of head on the base of the ringsteps. Rection tosses Jarrett in the ring and the bell finally rings, and Jarrett begs off as Rection approaches him. Rection doesn't listen to Jarrett's pleas and knocks him down with a right hand as Jarrett clutches at the back of his head. Irish whip sends Jarrett into the corner, and Rection follows up with an Avalanche, then drop toe holds Jarrett down as he walks out the corner. That gets two, and Rection knocks Jarrett down with a clothesline to the back of the head, then hits a big splash for a nearfall. Rection pulls Jarrett to his feet and goes for a vertical suplex, but Jarrett slides out in midair and reverses into an attempt of his own. Rection shoves his way out, sending Jarrett into the ropes, and meets him with a spin kick as he bounces off them for a two count. Rection tries for a chinlock but Jarrett throws him into the ropes and slugs him in the gut, then hits an armbar takedown. Rection clutches at his arm as he gets to his feet, and Jarrett takes him down with a single arm DDT for two. Rection sent into the ropes, but he holds onto them and climbs onto the apron. Jarrett runs at him and Rection hangs him over the top rope, then climbs to the top turnbuckle and knocks Jarrett down with a flying shoulderblock. That gets two, and Rection starts to get frustrated. Belly-to-back, and Rection signals for the moonsault-but Jarrett rolls out of the way and Rection hits the mat hard. Both men down, and they both slowly get to their feet, punching at each other. Rection manages to stagger Jarrett with three successive punches, and he comes off the ropes, but Jarrett ducks and goes for the Stroke. Rection elbows out of it and reverses it into a suplex, but Jarrett slips out again, and this time nails the Stroke for the clean pinfall at 5:49. Jarrett gets his hand raised, then grabs his guitar as Hugh gets groggily to his feet-and cracks it over Hugh's head, putting him down. His music plays, and we get a backstage shot of Sanders watching on a monitor and nodding happily...

(Ad Break)

Reno Vs. Big Vito: Hudson mentions the history between the two men as they make their way to the ring, but it is nothing more than a passing comment. The two circle each other as the bell is rung, and Stevie points out that neither guy has had a shot at Nitro exposure for a while, and they have to make this one count. The two men lock up, and Reno gets the advantage, but Vito catches him off the ropes with a back elbow, then drops an elbow for a one count. Reno springs up and shoots a little smile at Vito, who runs at him with a clothesline-and Reno flapjacks him face first into the top turnbuckle. Vito staggered, and Reno chopblocks him down. Second rope legdrop gets two for Reno, and he pulls Vito to his feet and beats him into the corner with lefts and rights. The ref tries to break it up, but Reno continues, until Vito gets a headbutt. Reno is momentarily stunned and Vito charges at him, but he gets caught with a powerslam for two. Reno calls for the Roll Of The Dice early, but Vito reverses it into a Benoit-like shoulderbreaker! Legdrop, and an Irish whip, and Vito clotheslines him in the corner. Snap suplex gets a two count on Reno, and Vito looks to be going for another, but this time he drops him face first. It gets two, and Vito climbs to the top rope. He leaps at Reno, but gets caught and armdragged in midair! Reno covers for two, and shakes off the cobwebs as Vito gets to his feet then hits a bulldog for two. Vito catches a Reno kick and spins Reno round, then nails an enziuguri on him for a two count. Vito back in control, and he scoops him up for a Rikishi Driver, but Reno slips out and goes for the Roll Of The Dice again, but Vito again escapes and nails a cobra clutch slam for a nearfall. Bodyslam and a fistdrop attempt, but Reno rolls out of the way. Vito clutching at his hand, and Reno hits a capture suplex for two. Irish whip but Vito springboards out with a crossbody, but Reno rolls through, picks Vito up and executes the Roll Of The Dice for the pinfall at 5:44. Stevie yells about Reno having proved himself for future glory-as the other two announcers sit in silence...

(SuperBrawl promo)

Scott Steiner Vs. Diamond Dallas Page: Both men enter and prepare to lock up as the announcers discuss what a big match this s and how it affects Sunday's PPV. The bell rings-as Lance Storm's music hits and he makes his way to the announce booth. This catches DDP off-guard, and Steiner takes advantage with a forearm to the back. Steiner pounds on DDP with kicks and forearms in the corner, until the ref breaks it up. Page runs out of the corner at him but gets powerslammed. Steiner quickly picks him up and hits a European uppercut, but when he goes for another Page catches his arm and pulls Steiner into a legsweep. Steiner up quickly, and DDP knocks him back down with a clothesline and drops an elbow-then yells at Storm, allowing Steiner to get to his feet. Page turns back around, straight into a rolling belly-to-belly suplex that gets two for Steiner. Storm, on commentary, informs us that he went directly to Miss Wright-and got a Lance Storm Vs. DDP signed for SuperBrawl on Sunday. Steiner hits an Irish whip and follows up with a forearm smash, then climbs to the second rope as Page stumbles out, and knocks Page down with an elbow to the forehead. That gets a near fall, and Steiner breaks the pin to do some pushups. He showboats too long, however, and Page gets the Barry Horowitz rollup for a nearfall. Steiner smashes him back down straight afterwards. Bodyslam and a pair of elbowdrops for a nearfall, and Steiner scoops him up and slams him stomach-first into the turnbuckles. Page hung up in the tree-of-woe position, and Steiner boots him in the chest twice then drops an elbow on Page's chin. Page springs back up a la Shawn Michaels-and Steiner turns THAT into a neckbreaker out of the corner for two! Page looks to be out cold, and Steiner signals for the Steiner Recliner. He stands ready over Page-and Page grabs his legs and gets a cradle for nearfall. Steiner is up very quickly and he swings at Page, but Page ducks and gets a backslide for two. Steiner up again and he hits a right hand, but Page shakes it off and starts nailing Steiner repeatedly in the face. Steiner backed into the corner as Page hammers on him, and Page beats him down, then makes the Diamond Cutter motion-as Storm leaves the commentary position and grabs his chair. page sees him and swings wildy at Storm, fending him off, then turns back to Steiner and goes for the Cutter. Steiner, however, manages to reverse the move halfway through, and turns it into a bridged Dragon Suplex for the pin at 5:25. Steiner continues hammering Page, then shouts over the ropes to Storm-"He's all yours!". Steiner leaves-as Storm slides in and cracks Page's knee with his chair! He hits another shot, but the refs come in and break the assault up...

Main Event: Goldberg Vs. Booker T: Both men enter alone, and both men get big ovations-but Madden tries to pull off the idea that Goldberg's reaction has shrunk over the past month or so. The bell rings and the two men slap hands, then lock up. Goldberg takes the advantage with an armwringer into a headlock, and Booker throws him into the ropes and goes for the Harlem side kick, but Goldberg ducks and clotheslines Booker on the rebound. Booker up quickly, and Goldberg shoulderblocks him, but Booker gets up again. Goldberg smiles-and calls for a test of strength. Booker complies, and Goldberg slowly powers his shoulders down to the mat, but Booker rolls him up, a la Bret Hart at Royal Rumble 93, for a two count. Goldberg springs back up and goes for a clothesline, but Booker ducks and peppers Goldberg with lefts and rights. Goldberg whipped into the ropes, backdrop by Booker, and he clotheslines Goldberg out of the ring. Goldberg catching his breath-and Booker squashes him with a pescado! The fans cheer as Booker throws him into the steps, then follows up with a shoulder charge, but Goldberg moves and Booker slams shoulder-first into the steel. Goldberg wrenches on the arm immediately, then tosses him back in the ring. Booker swings at him, but Goldberg ducks, and gets a fireman's carry into a cross armbreaker. He breaks as Booker gets his feet in the ropes, and Booker slowly gets to his feet-so Goldberg shoulderblocks the injured shoulder to knock him back down. Falcon arrow by Goldberg drops Booker directly on the shoulder for a two count. Booker tries to use the ropes to pull himself to his feet, and Goldberg kicks his legs out from under him, then reapplies the cross armbreaker. Booker again gets to the ropes, so Goldberg breaks-and primes for the Spear. He tushes at Booker-but Booker dodges, and hangs Goldberg over the top rope, then rolls him up for two. Goldberg up quickly and he wrings the arm, but Booker reverses into a headlock and hits a bulldog, as Mike Sanders strolls down the ring, met with a chorus of boos. Both men down-and Booker breakdances up to a huge pop. Goldberg is up slower, and Booker levels him with the Harlem side kick! It gets a very dramatic two count. Booker waits for Goldberg to get to his feet, and goes for a suplex, but Booker reverses to the Jackhammer, but Booker slips out and hits a low blow. He comes off the ropes with an axe kick as Sanders hops on the apron, distracting the ref. Booker gets to his feet and shouts at Sanders, and Ric Flair storms down the aisle and yanks Sanders off the apron! They argue as Scott Steiner starts down the aisle-and Booker walks into a Spear from Goldberg in the ring. Jackhammer finishes for Goldberg at7:03, as Steiner walks straight past Sanders and Flair and slides in the ring. Booker hits a low blow that sends Goldberg onto his knees-and Steiner kicks Booker hard in the head. The two fight in the corner as Flair clocks Sanders and tosses him in the ring. The two argue in the corner, and Goldberg gets to his feet, and launches himself into the corner, Spearing Flair! Steiner and Booker are brawling up the aisle as Goldberg stares down at Flair, his expression unreadable, and a half-smile rests on Sanders' face. The announcers yell and scream about how it could've been an accident, but Madden is convinced it was intentional. Goldberg backs off, as if unsure of what just happened-and Jeff Jarrett slides in the ring from the crowd, guitar in hand, and smashes Goldberg from behind! Goldberg crumples as Sanders watches from the outside, a look of concern on his face. Steiner and Booker have disappeared into the back, and Flair and Goldberg lay in the ring, crumpled at Jarrett's feet, as "The Chosen One's" music plays and the credits come up...
