REBECCA'S RANTS

Hey All!! So I have like zero time today, I mean zero, but I can't resist touching base with all the great wrestling fans that come visit or write on CRZ's awesome site, so although I have a pile of stuff the size of the Undertaker on my desk, I will put it aside and attempt to write a short column...Yes I believe it can be done...well maybe.

Ok, so first things first...Check out Marvelous Martin's killer column where he compares Godzilla to Sting. Good stuff by the Marvelous one as usual, and of course this mention has nothing to do with the insanely flattering comments he has bestowed on myself and Sharon...but remember this...Flattery will get you everywhere!!!

I want to also thank all the other people, Ryan, Steve, Todd, T, Heather and Sharon, and all the rest who make writing my column so much goddamn fun. You guys all rule, and thanks for the great support, I really appreciate it.

Ok, enough sappy shit, you have to excuse me, I am in one of those emotional states today...but without further ado...onto the Rants:

As I did last week, I just want to touch on ECW to start off with. This week, TNN censored comments made by Paul E and by Joel Gertner on their program. It is pretty obvious that things have come to a head between ECW and TNN, and I for one am very upset at this fact. First of all, I don't get the Hardcore show, and if they leave the TNN network, I will not be able to get my ECW fix when I need it. A life without seeing Jerry Lynn wrestle is a very sad life indeed....so if they do get thrown off of TNN please let another channel pick them up. PLEASE!!!

Ok, so I just have to say, although I love violence and going to the extreme as much as the next person, that Tony Marinara match was a little much for me to stomach. I don't like witnessing someone nearly die 3 times in one match. Esp. a guy who weighs maybe 115 lbs...next time they should just put on a Jerry Lynn match instead. There is no reason this man should not be on TV every week.

So Good Luck to ECW in trying to survive yet another giant hurdle thrown their way. But those guys are tough as nails...so I'm sure they will find some way get through.

He He He...Sandman got naked this weekend at a house show...wish I could have seen that...well, it would have been a lot cooler if it was say Christian or the Hardys...but still it sounded like it was quite a spectacle to say the least.

Onto the WWF...

I was left a little unsatisfied by RAW this week, so I am first going to talk about HEAT, which I thoroughly enjoyed this week.

Keep Michael Hayes on commentary...the guy is a great commentator. We get enough of Michael Cole on Smackdown. I don't need him again on Sunday nights....besides, it works much better if there is a "face" and a "heel" announcer, and both Cole and Kelly are faces, and both of them together is just a little to much face shilling for my taste. Hayes on the other hand is a bad ass who likes guys with attitudes. Exactly the same kind of people I like. He is also always putting people over, instead of going on endlessly about the Main Event on RAW the next night. Wow concentrating on the match at hand, and the wrestlers that are in those matches, what a novel idea.

So I was trying to figure out where they were on Tuesday for the Smackdown taping, because that crowd was jacked up for Heat!!! I mean Perry Saturn was getting a huge pop, Perry Saturn, and I wasn't even in the building (when I went to see the WWF, I was on my feet cheering for Perry, wearing my Radicalz shirt, but I was all alone). Anyway, I thought the wrestling on Heat was superb. Perry vs. Esse was a great match, where Perry was looking mighty sharp. Him and Tazz could have a seriously intense suplex laden rivalry when Tazz finally comes back. I really miss Tazz actually...Why was Lita watching intently on the monitor. I thought she was going to be with the Hardys now...

Chyna defeated the Godfather!!!! Yes! There is justice in the world, of course we need to give the assist to her Love Machine, but at least the Godfather is already out of the tournament. Somehow I think that Chyna will end up facing Eddy, and I can't imagine what they will do here. In my opinion Eddy should not job to Chyna at any cost...he's just to damn good to do that. I hope at some point it is Eddy vs. Dean, and the WWF gives them 15-20 minutes to blow us away...Please WWF please give us this...it isn't asking to much. I mean you wasted 27 minutes on an opening interview, you can NOT waste 20 minutes on a *****star wrestling match....

So I am still fuming mad over the WWF's pathetic attempt to put Dean over by putting him with the stupid Godfather. Stop this now. It will not work, and you are just disrespecting Dean's awesomeness by harnessing him with that loser. Venting done...

It is still amazing to me that the Dudleys are over as faces. It just seems wrong to me somehow. The worst part about the Dudleys as faces is we don't get to hear Buh Buh's awesome heel promos. Who cares if they get a huge pop, bring back my heel Buh Buh. That being said, I really can't believe how insanely over they are, but it does bother me that an inanimate object is actually the most over thing out there, when the Dudleys are in the ring. This is just wrong, because Buh Buh and D-Von are extremely talented in their own right, tables or not. It was great seeing Bull Buchanan go through a table. That whole match was sweet as hell. Buh Buh's awesome tackle of D-Von to keep him from going through the table to the sweet ass 3D through the table for Bull...Totally killer. No matter how many time I see that 3D through a table, it always looks absolutely devastating. Mad props to Kurt for taking one for the team and going through one on RAW. I want to know how much longer Angle will put up with Christian and Edge leaving him high and dry to deal with all sorts of horrible punishment...

Speaking of horrible punishment, as much as Trish Stratus annoys me, I gotta give her credit where credit is due. No special treatment for this girl, no she gets the giant ass in her face just like everyone else. At one point I thought Rikishi was suffocating her, because her entire head got swallowed by his gigantic ass cheeks. YUCK, YUCK and Double YUCK...

Ok, so I think that the Main Event is so much more interesting with the addition of the new talking Kane and the Undertaker. How cool was Kane on Smackdown this week..."you might be that damn good, but I am that damn bad"...He is such a total bad ass. I am so ecstatic to see Kane in the title race because that is where he belongs...and we won't even talk about how cool I think the Undertaker is. First of all, I knew he was really tall, but since he's been back he just seems gigantic. He has such a presence out there, he really doesn't even have to do much...ok, so I also think his is super hot, so maybe that has something to do with it. I swear I never really thought about him one way of the other, but since he's back...ok, enough hormone talk, back to business...I realize he is not at 100%, and Kane isn't as over as the Rock, but did we need to see Rock vs. HHH again for the title. I will say this, it was quite a good little match up for them, and the crowd was red hot for it, but I would have rather seen someone else go for the gold. I guess Kane vs. HHH was the Main Event for Smackdown, (which Kane won cleanly I might add...a little birthday present for me...yes it was my birthday on Thursday) so to have it repeated on RAW would have been overkill, but still.

Ok, complain, complain.

I will complain about one more thing, and then I will go...see I told you it was going to be short this week.

I have been trying to figure out what about RAW didn't click for me, and I'll tell you what it was...its that the undercard is sort of floundering around without any storyline right now. People were thrown into matches for no good reason... why were the Hardys facing the B.B.'s...I mean I am glad as hell that they won, but what was the purpose of this match. Same with Kurt and 2blondes vs. Jericho and the Dudleys. Believe me I loved this match, but it made no sense to me. KOTR qualifiers are the exception, they don't have to make sense because they are "randomly drawn" matches, but other things I just don't understand. T & A & V vs. Too Cool...huh...I just don't understand. I just wish that Vince and Co. would spend more time on the undercard, building up their storylines and cool rivalries. Get the tag belts off Too Cool, it is a waste to have them as the champs. Other teams need the belt more than Too Cool, so give it to some other more deserving team.

Ok, so I will end on a positive note...I do love the whole Benoit is the fightingest IC champ in WWF history thing. Benoit is finally starting to get his much deserved pop from the crowd, and guess what he is getting over on his wrestling ability alone...will wonders never cease...WWF fans can learn to appreciate good wrestling....

Ok, that's all for me, sorry if this column isn't very good, I wrote it and stopped, wrote it and stopped, in the midst of doing about a billion things here at work. Man, I hate when work gets in the way of important stuff like wrestling.

Oh yeah, hopefully by this time next week, we will have seen Stephanie McMahon Helmsley get her ass kicked by a NEW more deserving women's champion. I'm pulling for Lita myself.
