SUMMERSLAM: HUH, WUH?

This week, my thoughts on last night's SummerSlam, and as promised, cheats and finishers to WWF: Attitude. But first, HOLY CRAP, I got mail!

From: "Kim Btchfctr" ([slash] regular columnist)
Subject: slash stuff

Your stuff (drinking game in particular) has been among the most memorable stuff I've seen on the site, and I just wanted to thank you for continuing to contribute and look forward to seeing more from you in the future. You're a good writer, and I personally think CRZ should give you a little "/" from here on in. I mean, hell, if he gave one to so-called "Super Vixen," why wouldn't he?

Cheers,
Kim

Well, I don't know? Chris...? Steve Blackman is still my favorite, you know. Even though he got SPANKED last night. And even though my vixenness is not super just yet, it is at least above-par.

From: William Booker
Subject: hi...

I read your column at CRZ's site and really liked it!!!! There... I gave you mail... now, please give me Attitude cheats in another column!

Bill

Ya, ok, they're coming up. I get the feeling I'm being used.

From: Michael Mousseau
Subject: summerslam-crz

Good article--and I would like the finishers and cheats in the next column, if you're so inclined.

Later.

Now I KNOW I'm being used. I know what you people want, but first, you'll have to sit through... My SummerSlam Opinions! HAHAHAHAHA!

First off: SPOILER ALERT, but only if you're waiting to see SummerSlam in replay this Tuesday, and tape Raw tonight to watch it afterwards.

I'm sorry, but I am confused. If there were so many clean finishes last night, why do things seems so... incomplete? I'm referring to the main event and the tag match between D-Kane and The Big Bikers. First, the tag match. So X-Pac kicks out of AARRGHH... The Chokeslam? No way dude. Heart shmart, when a guy three times your size picks you up over his head and drops you, you DIE. And what's the point of having "tension" between Taker and Show when they've been saying all along that they don't trust each other. Oh, now it's MORE "tension". Jeez, this team is only a month old. Speaking of tension, why does The Undertaker always have to meld songs with whomever he's teamed up with that month? What if his next partner is Al Snow? ("What does everybody want? DEAD!") Ok, that wasn't really speaking of tension.

I'll assume that I was the only one shocked at the outcome of the main event. It's awesome to see Mick back with the gold, but Austin put him over CLEAN! Maybe ol' Steve is more hurt that we thought. Especially after the "crippling" he received. Must want time off, and that's cool, kudos to him for going all the way to SummerSlam on a bum knee. But he jobbed to Mankind! Weird.

And of course Jesse had his home crowd eating out of his hand. And deservedly too, I missed his voice in wrestling, and I marked out big time to his return. I couldn't help but notice, however, that his old school wrestling personality seemed kinda cartoony and overblown compared to what I'm now used to. At least he got scream that everything was "Bullshit" about 50 times.

I got to see my favorite bit of wrestling last night, and that was The Rock's floatover DDT. It's rare, and he doesn't pull it out often, but DAMN it looks so cool! It made my night. Yay floatover DDT! And for those who don't know, it's the move where he runs to the right of the opponent, hooks an arm, jumps up and around his back, over his shoulder, and DDT's him. Awe Some!

The Above And Beyond The Call Award of the night goes to Shane McMahon, who DOES NOT have to do this stuff folks, he just does! Lots of credit to him for his crazy-ass bumps, because, don't forget this, he DOESN'T HAVE TO!

Did anybody else notice that Weird thumping music in between main event entrances again? It scared me.

JR surprised me by being an idiot when he mentioned that if anybody could end Shamrock's streak in Lion's Den matches, it would be Blackman. Uhm, didn't Ken LOSE his last Lion's Den match like two months ago against Vince after Jarrett interfered? And hasn't he only wrestled THREE Lion's Den matches... ever? The JR/King babble during the Multi-Tag match was classic, as they just bickered the whole time! King:"Folks, I hope you recorded this, because JR just said 'I don't know!'" JR: "Ya, well I could have just made something up and lied like you, King." Hehe. JR's quote of the night is of course: "She has an ample, designated ass suitable for kissing."

But it's not quote of the night! That quote goes to Howard Finkel because he said in his announcer voice "And his opponent in this special Kiss My Ass match...".

And if anyone was counting, there were 3 Stunners administered last night. None to Jesse.

Ok, you sat through it, time now for the
