IN THE ZONE

Well, Hello and welcome to another edition of In the Zone. Y'all know who I am so let me get on with it. I just wanted to touch up on one thing before I move to the week of wrestling programs. Did anyone catch this week's edition of Byte This? I got to tell you I enjoy it much better with Kevin Kelly and Tom Pritchard then Lucas and whoever else was on it when it first began to air. Anyway enough about Kevin and Tom. Ken Shamrock was the special guest this week and he cleared up those ugly rumors of retirement. He did mention that UFC was in his blood and that he believes he would do great if he went back. Which is great I would support him wherever he goes. But he did mention that he would be back although there is no date set for his return. You can just imagine how happy this girl is. I just can't wait to see him back on Raw. He needs to hurry up.

On to Smackdown, Yours truly missed a wedding to watch Smackdown. Now that's a loyal wrestling fan...LOL. Not really there were other reasons but who cares I got to watch Smackdown. I actually enjoyed it; it was one of the best ones yet. The only thing that bugged me was X-PAC turning on Kane.I will be the first admit that I didn't care for Kane when he first came into the WWF. Hell I didn't like him until he got involved with Chyna. I loved that whole storyline. It is what finally made me look at Kanes' character in a whole different light. He started to amount to more then the Big Red Retard. Sorry but that's what I always referred to him as. But of course that changed. When Kane started to show emotion beneath that rough exterior is when I began to see that there was a human being behind that mask. Then the unthinkable happened Chyna turned on Kane at Wrestlemania. I thought that was the end of the deep emotions of this troubled young man. But along comes X-PAC, I give X-PAC most of the credit into turning this monster into a loving, caring man. Kane gave X-PAC everything including his friendship and what does X-PAC do but turn on the man. It made me sick to see him apply the x-factor on Kane. What the hell was X-PAC thinking when he said, "he was sick and tired of carrying Kane dead ass around". If I remember correctly it was the other way around (at least most of the time). I say to X-PAC good bye, Kane don't need you anyway. And please keep Tori away from him also....LOL!

How great is it to see Scott Taylor and Brian Christopher back in the ring? GREAT!!! I just love this combo. They are truly too much. I hope to see these two work their way up to the top of the tag team ranks. They certainly have what it takes and they showed it this week on Raw. Of course they didn't get the win over The Hardy's and Christian and Edge, but hell they put on one hell of a show. Speaking of the Tag Teams look for Christian and Edge to conquer the Hollys sometime soon and have that gold around their waists soon. I never thought I would say that because after the Outlaws reformed I thought they would dominate the ranks again. But I was wrong the WWF has very strong, talented teams in their tag Team Division and it should prove very interesting in the future months.

All the girls watching Raw last night felt a twinge of jealously when Test said, "of course Steph I love you" to Stephanie's proposal. How disappointed was I? I wished I was Stephanie McMahon...LOL!!! Its is wonderful to see them back together and happy again. I guess what I said a couple of weeks ago about us girls getting our Romance elsewhere are all shot to hell. But I truly happy about this, can't wait for the "Wedding".

My fellow colleague Sharon mentioned something last week and I just wanted to tell her that I agree. She mentioned how great the Bossman was at being a heel. The guy is great, what wrestling fan out there can truly say they like the man. I may not agree with the story line that he is in but damn the man has got it going on. I hate him more now then I ever had. Keep up the good work Bossman because you are a true heel.

Back to Smackdown, I know I am jumping around but deal with it..LOL! Okay I got such a huge kick out DX being the hunted. Roaddogg in a bear trap...oh the possibilities. Billy Gunn strung up, oh lord again the possibilities. Of course watching the ceiling fall on X-PAC gave me a small feeling of satisfaction. And of course all four of DX under the netting at the end of Smackdown. Truly another great moment in the World of professional wrestling.

Back to Raw, The best match of the night has to be the Shane, HHH match. Shane put on one hell of a match. The guy works his tail off. I swear too it, he is truly coming into his own as a wrestler. Could be Championship material soon. Of course I wouldn't want to see it when there are so many more talented guys on the roster who couldn't get a major push if they were the last guys on the planet. But that's a whole 'nother column. Of course I found the comment about Montreal and you know who two years ago a bit disgraceful. I know Bret has said a lot of things concerning Vince McMahon and what not but Lord let the past be in the past. All wrestling fans know what happened two years ago in Montreal. VINCE MCMAHON SCREWED BRET HART!!! That's what happened. But again who cares about that. Its is over and done with of course Jim Ross might feel it necessary to bring it up every time Vince comes to the ring during a World Title Match. I hope to hell not.

One more thing before I leave you for the week. I have been reading all over the Internet about Stone Colds heel turn. I heard a lot of opinions and I just want to address one. I read somewhere that someone said they (the WWF) plan on doing this heel turn in one night. To steal a famous line. Ain't gonna happen. What I feel they are going to do, if in fact they are turning Austin heel. Look for HHH to hold onto that title at survivor series. If that happens, that leaves one of two things to happen. Either Stone Cold and the Rock are going to work together to eliminate HHH, or they are going to fight it out. If they fight it out who are the fans going to cheer for? Now that's a tough one right. Both are major faces, the crowd loves both these guys. Right? So a heel turn for either one won't work overnight. When and if Austin turns heel it will gradual. Austin will decimate the Rock, He will do everything in his power to make you hate him. I give it to Wrestlemania 2000 and Austin will be a heel. Of course I may be wrong, sometimes I am...LOL!!
