IN THE ZONE

Well a great big hello to the 2 loyal people that read this column. The sad part is the two people that read this column, work for this site...NOW THAT'S SAD. Before I bore y'all with endless talk about the WWF, I would like to touch on Nitro. I never thought I would use these two words in the same sentance but here goes. Nitro was Great!!!!!!!!! Now I am not sick don't worry about that but damn they put on a great show. The best match of the night happened in the first hour, another rarity in the making. Benoit and Malenko were excellent. The whole match was incredible and having Shane Douglas and what's his name out there just made it better. I am still in shock for actually using those two words in the same sentence. Also the interview with Rick Flair was good. You knew something was going to happen to Flair and who better to do it then Sting and Luger. Although I must admit that the whole "I respect you and deep down I really like you "crap got a little out of hand. Having Lugar attack Flair from the back, esp. in fourhorsemen country, like that was great. NorthCarolina will never ever like Sting or Lugar again, They beat up their hero...LOL. A great way to get the heat. Plus having Bret Hart in jean shorts and no shirt wasn't bad either...*G*.

On to Raw, Like I said Nitro put on a great show, but Raw left a little to be desired last night. The best part was seeing Vince again. Did I say that...I guess I did. I missed the old goat and it is great to see him back. Even if it is protecting his wife, how sweet. Speaking of the McMahon family, This whole Shane vs The Mean Street Posse doesn't smell right. Shane is to sneaky and he may have another surprise up his sleeve for Test and Stephanie. Mark my words Shane and the Posse aren't done...by no means.

Another great thing is I love the way they are building up this whole Chyna vs JJ at Unforgiven. It has the possibility of being the best match of the night. Chyna is awesome in the ring and JJ ain't that bad either. In fact in my opinion JJ is one of the best technical guys in the WWF. Some will disagree but if you have a chance please watch some old video of Jarrett. The guy can wrestle. In an ideal world Chyna will walk out of that ring the First Ever Women Intercontinental Champion, but I have a feeling that the WWF will have some screwjob ending. Possibly having Bad Ass Billy Gunn interfere. That would piss me off, but look for it to happen.

Shamrock vs Jericho is going to rock, I have a feeling Shamrock might lose this one. Reason being, he is leaving and Jericho will be here for awhile. Look for Shammy to lose....I can't belive I wrote that.

Now on to either the saddest person or the funniest person in the WWF. I haven't quite figured him out yet, to be quite honest I don't know weather to laugh or cry. Al Snow is a character, bless his heart. The man has no shame...not a single ounce of it. The whole I stuck in gimmick crisis is getting old. Hell the guy only had three gimmicks in his whole wrestling career. The only one that ever brought him any success was when he was just plain Al Snow. My plea to Al is to plea to the bookers, bring back HEAD. The fans don't want Aviator and we sure as hell don't want Leif Casiddy. Pepper is Cho Mien now so bring back Head. Who cares if she has a railroad stake through her head, guaranteed have the fans out there wouldn't even notice or care if you took the spike out and act like it never happened.

As I sit here trying to close this column I am looking at the lake forming in my front yard...Yes folks as I type I am in the midst of Hurricane Floyd. My power isn't out yet but that will happen soon.

Till next week kiddos,

Keep it real.
