IN THE ZONE

Well, it's me, and I am back for another edition of In the Zone. Please excuse the rambling this week. I am extremely busy at work and don't really have much time. I didn't watch the first hour of nitro this week, and from what I read it's a good thing I didn't. Well lets jump into this, I gotta get up at 5 am tomorrow.

Various thoughts on Raw

The first match up pitted the NAO against Too Cool. I personally love both these teams so I was kinda perplexed on who to root for. But again lust won and I rooted for the Outlaws. The match up wasn't that bad, a pretty good opener for Raw. Although I a kinda sick and tired of having the Outlaws be beat by a team and someone distracting the ref. I don't care how much I love the Outlaws, I know Roaddogg was beat after that Tennessee Jam. Who wouldn't be. But of course out comes Hardcore and Crash and the match ends up in a DQ.

Al Snows promo had to be the best promo I have ever heard. Yes Rock fans, that includes his. I used to write a column a couple months ago entitled "Chilln' with Roaddoggs Girl". Anyway I wrote this column concerning Al Snow and my thoughts on him. I want to include a segment I wrote in that column as a retractment. Here it is:

In the middle of 1998 WWF fans must have been surprised to see Al back. This time he wasn't with Marty, but he had a secret weapon. HEAD. That freaking head made, for all the Rocks fans out there I gonna steal a Quote, his monkey ass famous. With out head poor Al would be stuck jobbing forever. I think the fans love that head more then Al. I think I might like the head better then AL. In fact I know I do. That's sad when a person, a fan, can tell you with a straight face that they like the gimmick better then the person. Al does have talent, I can't deny him that, and he deserves more then he is getting. Honestly can anyone say that Al is getting what he deserves? Should anyone need to demean themselves by carrying a mannequin head to the ring and talk to it? NO!!!!!!!!!!! He shouldn't have to do that. He does because that is all he knows. He will never be a main event. He is not in that category, and never will be.

That is what I wrote, I admit it. I want to address the last two sentences. I stated that Al Snow was not main event status and never will be. That was harsh and I do apologize. Al kicked ass in the main event on Raw. So what if he had the help of the Rock, Mankind and Chris Jericho. He was there and he did a great job. I still don't think the man can headline a PPV, but he has more potential then most of the WWF roster. So there you have it.

I am getting sick of Kurt Angle. Sure he isn't bad to look at, in fact he is kinda cute. But if he even utters the 3 I's one more time I am going to puke! I can honestly say that I hate that guy.

Stephanie in DX's locker room, she's the luckiest girl in the whole world....LoL. I know that I promised to give DX heat in the column I wrote 2 weeks ago but all things must come to end. Its kinda like quitting smoking, you can't do it!

HHH is a genius on the mic, too bad he can't bring some of that magic into the ring. He is a great brawler, as most main eventers are. In fact most of the WWF's main eventers have a majority of 3 moves. The Rock, Austin, Big Show just to name a few. But I see that changing in the next year or so, when some of the midcarders reach that pinnacle of main event status.

Speaking of the Big Show, That match with Viscera was, to say the least, amazing. Mostly on Viscera's part. I mean viscera preformed three incredible moves for a man his weight. The first one that impressed me was the slam on the table before the match even started. Then Viscera proceed to lift a 500+ pound man on his shoulders for a Samoan drop....go figure!. Now I will admit that I have seen a lot of bulldogs in my life and some of the best were preformed by the dynamic duo of the British Bulldogs. The most impressive one I have ever seen Viscera preformed on the Big show. This match stole the show, in my opinion. Let's get the big men in the ring together more often.

That's it for Raw, Now I am going to attempt to enlighten you with some of my predictions. So without further ado....HIT MY MUSIC (music playing..oh just imagine it, is Bitch by Meredith Brooks..it fits, believe me)

Kurt Angle vs. Steve Blackman

Where should I start with this match. Personally I feel that Kurt Angle is on a roll with his gimmick and I don't think he will lose to Blackman. Kurt is getting heat from the crowd and Blackman is still stuck with getting almost complete silence from the crowd. Though I can't blame the crowd because watching Blackman is almost as bad as watching the grass grow. I am placing my bet for Kurt.

The Hollys vs. Rikishi Fatu & Viscera

This is a hard one to call. I would have to go with the team of Rikishi and Viscera. Viscera was just damn impressive on Raw this week.

Battle Tag Team Royal: Edge & Christian vs. Too Cool vs. Dudleys vs. Hardys vs.Acolytes vs. Headbangers vs. Mean Street Posse:

Well, well, well. My heart wants to go with the all too lovable Too Cool guys, but thank god I have a brain and realize that that won't happen in a million years. Probably either the acolytes or the Dudleys. My pick would be the Dudleys

Val Venis vs. British Bulldog

I see Val winning the European title this Sunday, I haven't read any spoilers on Smack down so I am still assuming that this is the Bulldog vs Venis. I would like to see Val win it because a feud between him and D-lo would be awesome.

Ivory vs. BB vs. Jackie vs. Miss Kitty (4 corners evening gown match):

This isn't one of my favorite matches of the night. But if I have to pick a winner I will go with Ivory.

Xpac vs. Kane

If there is any justice in this world Kane will win this match. But then again, as our justice system has proved time and time again, there isn't. Personally I think X-pac will win this with a little help from his friends.

Chyna vs. Chris Jericho

Since I he proclaimed myself a certified Jericholic I guess I better go with Chris. After the performance he did at Survivor Series he deserves it.

New Age Outlaws vs. Rock & Sock

Well, as you have all read in past columns, I have stated that the tag team belts need to stay away from the Main eventers. I love the Outlaws, always have always will. I am biased in my decision on this one. OUTLAWS ALL THE WAY!!!!

Big Show vs. BBM

I have a feeling we may actually see the Big Show destroy BBM. At least I hope so.

Vince vs. HHH:

I really don't know what the outcome of this one will be with all the stipulations its hard to call. But whatever happens you better believe someone is getting screwed.

That's it for me this week. Due to the busy holiday I will say goodbye until the first week of Jan. See ya next year.

Until next time

Keep it Real
