Sharon's Edge

It's an early Christmas for Mick Foley.....
J.R. on RAW

All hail Queen Chyna!!!! You know I've read some negative comments about Chyna on various newsboards and all I have to say is "If you ain't down with the ninth wonder of the world, I got two words for ya-SUCK IT!!!!" Chyna has better moves than quite a few men in the company-I can't understand why the fanboys don't take her more seriously. She gave HHH one of the best matches he's had, and she did it all without her trademark, the low blow! And she would've won that match, without Mankind's assistance.

The writers dropped the ball on this one, even taken out of the running, she should've been pissed that Shane & HBK changed the rules to accommodate the inclusion of HHH & Mick. She should've taken Raven's line-"What about me? What about Chyna?" Well, hopefully somewhere down the line, I hope to see Chyna up for that title shot again. She deserves it! Now I like and respect Mick Foley, and I hate to say this but, Mick coming back after knee surgery and getting a title shot-didn't I just see that on WCW? Hogan was out for the longest time, came back, and won the title. I don't think Mick will win; I think in some kind of way he will cause HHH to lose, therefore extending their fued. I'm sure the two of them will have a match at the next PPV. My only question is, with the Undertaker posted all over the ads for Unforgiven-just where does he fit in all this?

I'm getting very hyped for SummerSlam and I have my trusty 8-ball here so let's make some predictions, shall we?

  • "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Mankind vs. Triple H- World Title Match
You heard my prediction for this. I think Mankind will screw it up some kinda way for HHH. That is, unless Stone Cold takes some time off. I'm hearing his his injury is more serious than thought and that was why Mankind was put in this match.

  • D'Lo Brown vs. Jeff Jarrett - WWF IC/Euro Title Match
I'm a D'Lo fan so I'm hoping D'Lo keeps those belts! I'm also hoping that Debra intentionally helps D'Lo (not that he needs it) out and dumps JJ in the process.

  • Kane/X-Pac vs. Undertaker/Big Show - WWF Tag Title Match
Hhhmmm, this is difficult. You have 2 large men on one side, who could easily isolate the little guy on the other side and make X-Pac pudding. Then again, this is X-Pac's hometown and the unwritten rule says hometown boy does good so- expect a good old David & Goliath fight with the Big Red Machine and little Pac to keep those belts.

  • Ivory vs. Tori - WWF Women's Title Match
I'm hearing that Tori will take the belt, but really what has she done to show any drive for it? Where is Jacky? Where is Luna? I like Ivory and I know it's not her fault, but was she possessed by the spirit of Sable? I'm going against reports and saying go Ivory!

  • Test vs. Shane McMahon - Love Her/Leave Her Match
Test has shown just how brutal he can be lately! He has destroyed the Posse in his love for Stephanie but just where has she been? I'd be there cheering for my man! Shane has some thing up his sleeve or he wouldn't be so eager to go after Test. I say Test will lose, due to someone running in-maybe a healed Posse!

  • Big Bossman vs. Al Snow - WWF Hardcore Title Match
Now I hear that Road Dogg has been added to this match-why, I don't know. Al & BBM's last PPV match sucked so I have little enthusiasm for this match except to say I've read reports that BBM doesn't like Hardcore matches so I'm betting that either Al or Road Dogg win-most likely Al.

  • The Rock vs. Mr. Ass - Kiss my Ass Match
Now after that truly humiliating spectacle on RAW, I think the Rock is going beat the stuffing out of Mr. Ass! I also think that little episode disproved all those rumors of Rock's ego run amok- there is no way (and this girl says no way!) you would allow someone to press your face against their ass, if you were worried about how you'd look.

  • Ken Shamrock vs. Steve Blackman- Lion's Den Weapons Match
I still say Blackman might look good but he has all the personality of a kendo stick. This is Kenny's domain and I believe that this match will last longer than that awful Iron Circle match. Ken will show his future UFC opponents what they'll have to look forward to!

All in all, it looks like an exciting PPV. Now before I depart I have some random observations to talk about:

  • So why does HBK's entrance video not have any shots of him wrestling in it? Even the opening of RAW still feature a shot of his bloody face-not that he'd want to show that-but why not?

  • Speaking of Shawn, if those shorts were any smaller, they'd be speedos! And damn, Shawn, is that a microphone in your shorts or are you just REALLY happy to see us?

  • Why is it the Acolytes can only beat the stuffing out of Kane AFTER the bell has rung?

  • OK, I think Bob Holly is trading his paycheck for air time-how else do you explain why he's on my TV so much? I think Chris Jericho should interrupt him the next time he's on the mic, then come down and beat the snot out of him! PLEASE, Chris, please!

Alright that's it for me. Until next time dear readers,
