See Kane crush Xpac?

     Gee if I can only get a crushed Xpac

  Mmmm...I feel better now! I see some people are doing year end reviews but I'm not- I just want to rant and rave so my conscience will be clear for the holidays. So where shall I start? How about the people who really have the knives out for Vince McMahon and his company. Every wrestling website I visit seems to have someone who is predicting the WWF's downfall. I just listened to an interview with Dave Meltzer who, instead of responding to Russo's putdowns of him and his newsletter, decided to criticize Vince for what Miss Kitty did at the PPV, calling it stupid and senseless. Actually I was surprised to hear several guys criticizing the Kat-I thought that's what you all wanted! What were all the 'puppy' chants for?

    I listened to an interview with the Kat on wwf.com and some guy called in to say she was wrong because his 7 yr.old brother was watching! Well, Vince has said repeatedly that the WWF is not for children so who's to blame? I still don't get the outcry-would you rather see a guy get hit with a sledgehammer (as HHH did Vince) or partial nudity? Which is more harmful?
Then he said it should've been rated 'R' or' PG'-hey 'Titanic' was rated  PG13 and Rose was fully naked!

    Anyway-directly after the Kat incident, it was reported that UK's Sky TV wasn't carrying any more WWF PPVs and some were blaming it on the boobs. Excuse me, but isn't England where their local newspaper features topless women every day?
Well, I did some research (thank you, Wrestleline!) and got the complete story, which is as follows: It seems that Sky TV's contract with the WWF expires in January and that Channel 4 outbid them for the new contract. And where Sky was a cable
subscription channel, Channel 4 is a free broadcast channel which reaches all 55 MILLION UK tv viewers! Also Sky plans to add Smackdown to their schedule in January so those of you who came to bury the WWF can all suck it! :p

    Now I said I wouldn't mention Bert & Ernie (thanks, T!) anymore but I have to comment on a recent interview. In it, Russo blamed Standards & Practices for tying his hands, which is why WCW's ratings are still low.But then the things he mentioned weren't even ratings-grabbing things!!! 'Oh, they wouldn't let Roddy Piper call Rhonda Singh fat!' Oh yeah, I'll watch that!! I think in this fast food world, they expected instant results and now those same people who kissed their asses when they came in are ready to kick them to the curb. I thought it would take longer than 3 months for the backlash to begin though. Listening to an interview with Norman Smiley, I was perplexed to hear him berate the WWF and say it was good that Standards & Practices kept a tight rein because WCW is not offending anyone and that they were still a family show!

    Obviously, Norman is not watching his own show! I laughed when I heard Perry Saturn say the new creative team has not done one good show yet!  Glad to see someone's not buying the company line! Isn't it ironic that when the new team was first announced, it was declared that they would have complete creative control over everything and everyone (except Hulk, of course) Now, 3 months later-'our hands are tied!'  Hhmmm..let's see..rehashing the Montreal screwjob...Juvi does Rock....
Buzzkill does Road Dogg....Madusa does Chyna.....JJ does JJ....Dr. Death does Dr. Death with JR clone.....Original? OK.
You know what really gets me, is that these people will deride the WWF content yet they hired the head guy who wrote it! Supposedly, Torrie Wilson was in negotiations with the WWF but decided to hightail it back to WCW because she was afraid of 'risque storylines' like getting stripped or *gasp!* a lesbian story! (Boy, she and Sable must've had quite a talk) Yet, her best friend, Trish Stratus just joined up with the WWF-guess you couldn't talk her out of it, huh, Torrie?  Bah! Enough about them!

    Here's My Christmas List-

        1-A private show of the Rock vs. Edge in a hot oil match! OOhhh, I'm getting all tingly!
        2-Raven with a bow (and nothing else!) under Rebecca's tree-ho ho ho!
        3-Ken Shamrock with a bow (and nothing else!) for Heather-merry christmas!
        4-A love story for Chyna & Y2J!
        5-Tori staying with Xpac AFTER the holidays, running off together to a foreign island and staying there! And please
            burn that tacky tacky tacky outfit she's been wearing!!
        6-Kane winning the heavyweight title!
        7-A real women's match! With a bigger roster of real wrestlers!
        8-No more gimmick matches for the women! You might as well make them all valets the way they're going! Enough is enough and it's time for a change! (God bless Owen!)
        9-Stone Cold recovering fully and coming back to the ring! The same for UT and Kenny!
       10-That Droz does walk again, recover and come back. We love you Droz!
