SHARON'S EDGE
Greetings, sports entertainment fans! Well, things sure are
getting more exciting in my favorite federation, despite what people
are saying. You know, it seems that there are alot of people out there
worshipping at the altar of Russo and Ferrerra but these are the same
people who were kissing Eric Bischoff's ass after he came in, only to
end up despising him 2 years later. I'm not a regular WCW viewer but I
do enjoy CRZ's and Hyatte's recaps. As a matter of fact, I'd prefer
reading those recaps to watching the show! I do admit to getting a
warm fuzzy feeling whenever I see Rey Mysterio Jr. but that's my
little secret(oops! not anymore).Anyway- so far, I'm enjoying this
heel DX although it does annoy me that only Stone Cold seems to be
impervious to all their attacks!
And I take offense to all these WCW marks trying to say the DX
reunion is a desperate move by the WWF-please, the ratings might be
rising but they're not overtaking the WWF anytime soon. Although
they're crowing that they'll be #1 by the New Year!! Sounds like
somebody's getting cocky already! My question is now that the WCW's
adopting the WWF raw attitude-will Bret Hart be as outspoken about it
as he was about the WWF? Somehow I doubt it. It's ironic that very
things the WWF was criticized for- the T & A, the shorter matches,
interviews and backstage features- are what people are praising the
WCW for.Well, enough ranting from me. Let me give you some pieces of
my mind:
- Why do I get Rodney King flashbacks whenever I see DX attack the
Rock?
- Let me get this straight-BBM and Prince Al are fine after they're
nearly crushed in their but the Big Show is almost decimated by a
tear gas canister?? I know it's called suspension of belief but
W*T*F????????
- Did I miss something on Heat-why weren't the Hollys counted out
after they just walked off in the middle of their match with the
Acolytes?
- Finally, Chyna has gotten her own theme music!!!!!! Hhhmm..those
Master/Slave shirts were just a little too gay for me,though.
- Why is it whenever I see Chris Jericho, I think of Jeff Spicoli
from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (rent the movie, you'll see)
Y2J is cuter though.
- Do you think JJ is sorry that he left, now that Stone Cold,
contrary to reports, is working a program with Billy Gunn?
- How does X-Pac know about where Kane is burned? And why didn't
Tori hit him? I think she could take him!
- Not too long ago, Rebecca did a column where she criticized the
fans for only paying attention to the bigger names like Rock or
Stone Cold, while basically ignoring everyone else. There was a
RAW report where the guy talked about the same thing. I find it
truly sad, annoying, not to mention disrespectful, when the
people are more into getting their faces and signs on camera than
what's going on in the ring. These wrestlers are working hard to
entertain you but you're more interested in doing crotch chops
for the camera-pathetic.
- J.R. gets so excited at ringside, sometimes I think he's going to
have a heart attack at the announce table!
- I like comic relief but I know Stevie Richards is much better
than we've seen so far. I've heard about his days in ECW with the
Meanie doing parodies, I hope Vince let those two continue!! Then
again, I do hope Stevie can show his stuff!
- From all reports I've heard, Kevin Nash has been lazy for
awhile-did he really think Vince wanted him back? Talk about an
inflated ego with a Peter Pan complex.
- Not too long ago, HHH was bitching about 'carrying DX' and not
needing anybody so why is DX back together? I think HHH knows he
needs someone to watch his back and since Chyna is busy, not to
mention a face these days, he called the boys back together. But
I don't trust it-all the infighting these guys have been doing-is
there really any loyalty there?
- Now I'm a sucker for a love story but I don't buy this Tori/Kane
coupling. There's no background, there's been no story! At least
we got to see the Test/Stephanie angle build but to just thrust
Kane and Tori together-it ain't working. HHhmm..I have an idea,
maybe they should've put him with that blonde EMT-think about it,
she would be able to look past his scars because she's in
medicine.
- As much as I enjoy the WWF, I think pound for pound, the best
wrestlers are in ECW! From RVD to Sabu to Jerry Lynn to Yoshihri
Tojhiri-those guys are so impressive! I can't wait for 'November
to Remember' this weekend!
