Worst Tag Team

Award Description:

To be given to the name tag team who were the worst overall wrestlers in the

CHRIS BIRD: Mideon and Viscera were uniformly terrible. The First Family
were just as bad. The Acolytes were a little better but with greater
exposure, thus they were nearly as bad.

EDC: Mideon and Mabel are a waste of space by themselves, who thought
putting them together in a tag team should be shot. Moolah and Mae are too
damn old to be in the ring. Swoll and 4x4 did nothing of importance,
except a few token WCWSN apperances.

RFLAGG13: Wow, what can you say about Moolah and Mae Young? Well, my
mother always told me if you can't say something nice, don't say anything
at all. Rick Steiner and Sid Vicious did their best to stink up the
wrestling ring during their short partnership, and the Windham brothers
got one of the most undeserved title reigns I've ever seen. This ain't
1991 anymore, Barry, your time is gone. Kendall never really had anything
to begin with, though, except maybe his resemblance to Steve Austin.

K. CANZANELLA: Now take your two worst wrestlers and have them team
together. Woo-hoo! Hermanos Dinimitia do nothing for me. Universo 2k tries
very hard, but his brothers just stink. Hog Farmer and Fat Black Guy with
blond mohawk become one and form a heat-killing team for all the ages.

SVEN MASCARENHAS: Recipe for terror: Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Eric Watts vs.
the First Family vs. Mideon and Viscera, best of five falls.

AARON: Any tag team with a combined age in quadruple digits isn't going to
get my praises. Mideon and Viscera move like a couple of pregnant yaks.
And when one half of your tag team consists of Fatu's ass...

OCTAVIAN: If I NEVER see Mae Young and Moolah in the ring again it will
be too soon. The First Family do nothing for me. Rick Steiner and Sid
Vicious? Two of my LEAST favorite wrestlers on the same team? An easy
#3.

JOHN ROMANO: All these teams were real losers. Maybe Holly's partner and
Road Dogg could get together and call themselves "Smoke and Coke."

DON BECKER: Mideon and Viscera are limited because they're JUST TOO FAT
((c) 1999 Scott Keith), Swoll & 4x4 just had no place in a wrestling ring
to begin with - which is a convenient excuse for them. Kendall and Curly
were harmless enough, but Kendall Windham's not what he used to be, and
neither is Curly (though he was never much to begin with).

MAX CHITTISTER: Moolah and Mae individually weren't bad enough to crack my
three worst, but put them together, and you have Pure Suck.

PAUL SHOCK: Swoll and 4x4 were wastes of money. How did the Windhams win
the tag belts, again? I'm glad the LOD retired.

BLOB: Only one thing to say about Mideon & Viscera: YIKES! Swoll & 4x4 and
Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Eric Watts were just pitiful as well.

GEORGE CARTER: Hootie Hoo ! 4x4 and Swoll gets first place ! The
Undertaker and the Big Show gets second cause when they teamed up, the
Undertaker was just there to be THERE. The poor guy was waiting for
surgery and he couldn't wrestle, yet the WWF gave them the titles
nonetheless. Mideon and Viscera gets third for their previous horrid tag
partners.

JOHN C.:Mideon & Viscera are easily the choice for this one although Barry
& Kendall Windham were a close second because they actually had a title
reign. This was a VERY bad year for tag team wrestling. Very, very bad.
Did I mention it was a bad year?

JOE GENTILE: Ok, you have a battle royal to detemine who gets the title
shot at your flagship event, and the best you can come up with is D'Lo
Brown and Test?!?! Who booked that crap?!?

JOE GAGNE: Swoll and 4x4 were so wretched they didn't even deserve to beat
the First Family. Do Mideon and Viscera have any redeeming qualities?
And the fact that the Whindams had a title reign in '99 speaks volumes
about WCW.

C. BENSINGER: Moolah/Mae Yong -- One has to wonder how this got on TV in
the first place

SEAN FLYNN: Brian Knobbs makes six figures_life isn't fair.

KEVIN WONG: Hard to believe that there was a team worse than Mae and
Moolah. But they're both over 70. What's Duggan and Watts' excuse for
sucking??

B. SZPAKOWICZ: Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young, Mideon and Viscera, and UT
and Big Show. Hell, can any of these six wrestle? (Okay, Show and UT could
if they bothered to. So why don't they?) Why, then, are they on my TV
screen?

BERT SNOOVEN: The winners of the Worst Tag Team award...Moolah & Mae. They
belong in a tar pit, not a mud pit. Or anywhere near a wrestling ring for
that matter.

SUGAR RAY: Creative Control arrives in WCW and they get pushed!!! Why?
They suck! Come on Russo, you can do better than this!

JEREMY SORIA: Not really in any particular order, to be honest. I never
really cared for Viscera; but then again, who did? The Steve Austin/Jim
Ross pairing was much like when John Glenn and the space shuttle crew went
up again in space; John Glenn (Jim Ross) just sat there while he let
everyone else (Steve Austin) do most of the work. And finally, when the
fans say they want puppies, they don't mean an old bunch of old dogs like
Moolah and Young.

ROB EVANS: Worst Tag Team - LOD 2000, should have called them 2000 years
OLD. They belong in WCW.

OTTO "HACK-MAN" HEUER: Worst Tag Team (remember to combine the Moolah/Mae
Young duplicates) easy 1st: Mideon & Viscera 2nd: Acolytes - Faarooq &
Bradshaw distant 3rd: Kane & X-Pac

MDB: If Hogan had half the dignity and class Flair does, then maybe a
superstar team of Flair and Hogan could work. But he doesn't and it
didn't.
